I'd have to concur with Kaiser on the pylon lengths. They just stick out too far.
And I have to assume that the Republic was eventually taken back from the Cybermen (who were likely in turn blasted into scrap heaps. That ought to teach them to steal a Starfleet Ship of the Line!), because she was later refitted, and eventually was used as a training vessel.
