Yes. It's very heartbreaking for Buffy. Something that can't be fixed by magic.

That was a great episode.
I'm noticing they use 'Weird stuff happens because Hellmouth' less and less as the series goes on and more of the threats evolve from established characters. That's a good thing. I wasn't a fan of stories like 'Girl becomes invisible because so many people ignore her'.
That's true, similar to the way Smallville moved away from the Kryptonite freak of the week--but without giving too much away--the series does not forget about the Hellmouth altogether.
One question. Is Dawn protecting Ben by not telling Buffy that he is not only Glory but knows she is the key, or did her mind block that detail out in shock?
The show hasn't told us yet what happens to Glory if Ben is killed. If killing Ben kills Glory it could put Buffy in a position to have to kill a human, which would be interesting. Glory hasn't tried to kil Ben so Ben dying couldn't be good for her.
That decision would put 'My gift is death' in context.

Your questions have some very interesting answers, but they're all spoilers, as others have stated or implied. Be comforted in the fact that ALL will be revealed by the end of the season.
Where Jirin is now reminds me of where I was in the Harry Potter threads years ago. I never read the books. I kept posting these questions but also followed by "no spoilers, no spoilers". I kept getting the same answers as we're giving; "all will be revealed" and "all" certainly was.
Is it me or does it seem like Glory could have identified the key much faster if she was less passive?
Especially after Ben gave up that it was human, she had mate in two if she just chained up everyone in Buffy's circle and tasted their blood one by one.
Is it just her laziness and desire to have her minions do all the work? Seems to me like if it weren't for her laziness she wins a few days after she discovers Buffy is protecting the key.

Glory does prefer that her minions do the work but also, she's not that bright.
I'm watching Spiral right now. I keep expecting somebody to yell "Jaffa, CRI!"

Not that getting pulled over would make much of a difference. You'd just end up with dead cops on the road.

The guys in chainmail have the tattoos on their foreheads. In the first scene they appear they are robed like the Jaffa, and they're on an outdoor set that looks a lot like all the SG1 outdoor sets. They even kind of talk like Jaffa and have a similar attitude.

That'd be tough even for a powerful vampire. Or at least, you'd have to coax the cop into putting a part of himself out of direct sunlight.
