I watched the first two episodes of Supernatural but might want to wait a little to continue. It seems okay and I like Sam & Dean's interaction but it also kinda seems like Buffy lite.
Oh, it is so not Buffy-lite. It gradually gets WAY darker than Buffy ever did (Angel too). Doesn't mean better, but definitely darker. You have to give it some time. I picked the show up from the start of season 4 because that was when a key character makes his first appearance, and went all the way through 9.I watched the first two episodes of Supernatural but might want to wait a little to continue. To be fair, he didn't really "stick around" so much as he kept getting sucked into their drama. Angel and Co. used his services to help them see their path, which resulted in them hanging out at Caritas a lot.You know one question they shied away from in the Angel series is whether Lorne had a soul, and why he would ever want to join Angel's team. Lorne was a lawful neutral with both good and evil clientele, who hated violence himself but abetted the violent. Why would he want to hang out with a chaotic good crusader who was a violence magnet, and even invite in his evil clientele?
I guess when they decided to make him a regular it made more narrative sense to have him be hanging with Angel instead of making frequent excuses to be drawn in, but it made so much sense when he split at the end you realize it made no sense that he didn't leave earlier.
By the way. I was at pub trivia tonight and there was a question where you had to know the name of the actress who played Tara.
