Oh, (Big) Brother!

So... the "dictator and his little Cabbage Patch Kid" are nominated.

I don't care which of them goes. Just so long as one of them does. Frank's a misogynist jerk, and Bridgette is nauseating.

Of course the other will turn on James - both of them if the Veto competition results in someone else's eviction via the back door.

Honestly I'm not as concerned about Bridgette staying. Without Frank as her puppet master I really don't forsee her doing too much damage on her own. Besides, she is at least more tolerable than Bronte was.

I think it's her "aren't I just soooo cute!" body language that puts me off her. Well, that and her mindless obedience to Frank.

The obedience thing is a weird development. He secretly nominated her for his first Roadkill and he nominated one of her closest allies for his second Roadkill (resulting in her eviction, no less) and she just giggled & complimented his game play while they laid in bed together.

It's also odd that Nicole keeps confiding in Frank and trying work with him and he continues to abuse that trust which leads to a Diary Room session where Nicole vows to never work with Frank again. This cycle has repeated so many times with Nicole and Frank that I'm starting to fear she has the same condition as the dude from Momento.

I agree, both of these cases are weird. I don't get Bridgette's fascination with Frank. I also don't get Nicole's game at all this time. Firstly the continually giving Frank another chance thing, but also attaching herself to another guy. It got her evicted last time, and she's even said repeatedly that this year she intended to stay away from the boys and get nowhere near a showmance. Well, that didn't work out. It's like she just couldn't help it, didn't know any other way to play.

I wasn't thrilled to see Victor come back, as I would have preferred Tiffany or Bronte, but oh well. At least it wasn't Jozea.

I think that my favorites at this point are James and Natalie. They are both sweet, genuine people and actually make a good couple, unlike the gag-worthy Nicole and Corey or Paulie and Zakiyah. They don't show it much on the episodes, but Zakiyah has gotten really obsessed with Paulie and complains to Nicole all the time about how he never kisses her or how some throwaway comment he made proves he doesn't like her. It's VERY high school level stuff. She gets extremely jealous any time he is in a room alone with another woman. Paulie seems like he thinks she's attractive, and really isn't that into her beyond that, but he can't really "break it off" with her now as that would be burning a bridge with one of his allies. It's all very unappealing to watch.

I like James. Natalie has this irritating tic, though, of kicking her leg up in the air. Yeah, I get that she's good at gymnastics. But she does this like it's a normal part of conversational body language.

I have noticed that too! So funny. She is actually a professional cheerleader (NFL I think?) so that explains it!

Well, in that case I suppose she's trying to keep herself in shape for when she goes back to that. But it's downright bizarre when she does it for no reason whatsoever. If someone moves in an unexpected way around her, they could end up being kicked in the face.

I like Frank as he keeps the game interesting, probably the first time a houseguest has had that moniker from me that I haven't found insufferable.

I'd rather see Day go. I wasn't a fan of her last time and her diary rooms, that she seems to get way more of than anyone else, are the same old shit. Nicole's game, as described above, is infuriating as she had potential to really play this game well and prove she was as good as she seemed to be in her season.

I hate Da'Vonne's Diary Room scenes. I'd rather listen to cats screeching than her voice.

Nicole seems to be playing a really vague game this time. Ever notice how she doesn't actually speak in normal sentences? Most people end sentences on a definite lower tone than at the beginning. Nicole's just meander and I get the impression that she's not really all there. She tends to agree with whoever she's talking to at any given moment, and I really hope that's not how she is in RL.

The best seasons are the ones where there is a dominant strategic player like Dan, Derrick, Will, Vanessa, etc. We don't have one of those this year and it looks like Paulie is the only one with any chance to emerge as that. Most of the players in the game with any strategic brain either really piss off the other houseguests or have zero influential ability.

Is Michelle spurning Bridgette just because she's jealous of her spending time with Frank? That's the sort of thing that seems sexist to accuse her of but she confirmed it explicitly.

Did anyone else want to freaking scream every time they did that obnoxious D-D-D-D-D-DOPE sound effect? Intentionally cheesy can be fun but there's a limit.

Go Paulie I guess?

Good for Michelle, for sticking to the plan. Yes, whichever of them doesn't get evicted will go after her, but they would have anyway, sooner or later.

Speaking of not talking in normal sentences, I'm getting tired of Paul's shtick of just saying single words instead of sentences.

"Pissed."
"Friendship."
"Sketch."

Oh, and "your boy" definitely needs to be retired in the house. "So, your boy's on the block this week..."

Absolutely. None of them are "my" boys or "my" girls. I'm not their mother. The only "girls" I have are my two cats, neither of whom are on the show.

Anyone know how to find out the result of an ep without live feed spoilers? Wikipedia has live feed spoilers.

I like BB enough to watch it if I happen to be home when it's on but not enough to catch up later.

Ask someone here? (I really don't know, since the only option I have here is to either watch the show or try to figure out how Globaltv's website works - and their "customer service" is abominable)

If you want to know who the current HoH is and who is on the block, I can tell you.

I know who current HoH is, just I had to tune out halfway because golf preempted it half an hour and it ran into The Night Of. :) Need to know who the noms are.

I liked that HoH comp structure, the way you could practice as long as you want but tie goes to whoever goes to the red ball first.

I wonder what their contingency plan is for the roundtrip ticket. Not knowing how many eliminations they are going to need, if they have some week planned out that may or may not be double eviction.
