The same way they've been milking it for the past two or three seasons.
^ There is also a video up at TVGuide.
http://www.kryptonsite.com/cc08-slavkinswimmer2.htmAs for Clark, he has "basically denied that there's anything going on with a superhero in Smallville or Metropolis," Swimmer says. "When the question's ever asked, it's always just sort of this mystery. This season's going to be fun for us because it's going to reach a point where he can't deny that there's somebody out there saving people. I think that that's a key change in the mythology of of Clark Kent," he reveals. "It's a big change for him to actually say, 'Yes. It's not me, but there's something out there,' and that's the beginning of his double identity."
That's a lot closer to being Superman than previously on the show. He's going to be a lot more proactive than before. The decision to become a full fledged superhero in a costume won't probably come until the series finale.]" One [criticism of] Clark Kent is that he's always been reactive in our show. His decision to go to the Daily Planet is his way of saying, 'I've got to use my powers to help people.' So when the guy in the audience [of the Comic-Con panel] was talking about testosterone, we're like, you want to see some testosterone? He's going out there. He's looking for it. I think the fans, Superman fans, will be delighted with that," Slavkin says.

This corrects one of the biggest flaws this show has had since the beginning. There should be Clark sightings. Lots of sightings! With inaccurate legends and theories to explain these events. Clark should be encouraging these false ideas to distract from himself. I hope he wears a suit and tie while working at The Planet. He should only wear his red jacket when he uses his powers. Almost a prototype secret identity before the real deal. Almost like Indiana Jones. Of course they should have done this a few years ago!!!!!
^ I like that idea...the cape he was given last season should begin to inspire him to forge an alternate idenity. I should add that on Smallville Wiki one of the episodes synopsis said that Chloe and Clark will be attending the Warrior Angel movie premire, perhaps being further insprired by his childhood hero Clark decides to take an alternate idenity.
So they already retconned that last season when Lex said something to the effect of "remember when we used to read Warrior Angel together?" I think I butchered the line but you know.
that doesn't sound quite right to meSo they already retconned that last season when Lex said something to the effect of "remember when we used to read Warrior Angel together?" I think I butchered the line but you know.
The line was, "Remember when we used to read Warrior Angel to each other laying on the picnic blanket under the shade of the tree while feeding one another peeled grapes?"
