[One of the worst incontiunity which I never forget and forgive. Trip became conscious and what has happend? Nothing! ]

[Sickbay]

(Jon crosses to Trip's side. Trip's breathing is labored, and slowing. Jon puts his hand over Trip's heart, feeling his heartbeat. Trip takes one final breath, exhales. Jon feels the heart stop. Looks up to the monitor, the indicators all fall to zero. Trip is gone.

Jon's grief washes over him. But he barely has time to process the loss of his best friend, because--

Trip speaks!
TRIP: I have such respect for you, Captain Archer.

TUCKER: Not exactly. I'm an Organian. a nonphysical life-form.
(He sits up.)
TUCKER: Trip is my host.

ARCHER: What did you do to him?

TUCKER: Nothing. We never interfere in the natural development of other species. We only observe.

 

[sekundant]

ARCHER: Did you know about the silicon virus?

 

[May 20]

TUCKER: That's why we come here. To see how different species react when they encounter it.

ARCHER: You knew about the virus that killed two members of my crew, and you didn't warn us?

 

[May 20]

TUCKER: I wanted to, but it's not up to me.

 

[sekundant]

(Hoshi removes the sheet from over her head and sitting up.)
HOSHI: You're breaking every rule we have.

 

[May 20]

TUCKER: Because they don't apply to this species.

 

[Athena28]

HOSHI: That is not our decision to make.

 

[sekundant]

TUCKER: If we don't challenge the rules

ARCHER: I don't care about your rules. Tell me what happens to Trip and Hoshi when you're finished with their bodies.

SATO: We have to leave them as they are.

ARCHER: Dead? I understand why you won't get involved with a species' natural development. I've faced that decision myself. It isn't an easy one to make.
