A redemption story that might be closer to home for Reva might be in her rescuing Force sensitive children from the Empire rather than actively joining the rebellion.I'm interested in seeing Reva try to help a Rebellion cell in a low-key way, but hiding her background. Maybe she forswears "The Force" altogether since she can't untangle the Dark Side from the Light on her own without any Jedi Masters to aid her. Eventually someone recognizes her from her Inquisitorius days, and the plot thickens.

Yeah Reva's arc was originally going to be very different according to those leaks. She was going to be a true believer at the beginning, who didn't know who Darth Vader really was. In an inversion of what happened in the show, Obi-Wan was going to be the one to tell her that Darth Vader was Anakin Skywalker. Then she would sacrifice herself to let Obi-Wan escape and get a shot at Vader, which would of course lead to her death. I think I would have liked that better, although I don't have much problem with how the story eventually turned out.If you believe the leaks (which got all the other major plot points correct), Reva was originally set to die in Obi-Wan, but that ending for her was changed.
Same. And would enjoy such a story.I could see Riva get caught up into the story of Cal Kestis in the Fallen Order game series. Or if they ever decide to do a follow up series to "Obi-wan Kenobi".
You're equating contrition with redemption there, and they aren't remotely synonymous.A telepath/empath could, though. And Jedi have both abilities. So if Obi-Wan thinks Reva is genuine in her U-turn, she's either deceiving him or she IS redeemed.
Sure. So, when she asked Obi-Wan if she'd become "just like" Vader, instead of saying "of course not; you must now find your own path," maybe he should have specified "no, but you've only just begun on a journey of redemption, and the path ahead will not be easy."She may not have earned complete redemption for her sins, but she has begun walking the path of the righteous.
- realized they just cast only the second Black-looking Black actress in the franchise's history, remembered how many people complained that Thandiwe Newton's character died after just one or two scenes, and realized that maybe having the first major Black female character be a Space Nazi who dies after battling a noble white dude wouldn't be the best look, and would probably inspire more critical tweets from John Boyega? If you believe the leaks (which got all the other major plot points correct), Reva was originally set to die in Obi-Wan, but that ending for her was changed because they decided they
The problem isn't that the creators' intent in that particular scene is unclear. The problem is that, up to that point, the character's journey was spectacularly incoherent:The creators' intent is clear.
Someone thinks she is fully redeemed?, you'll forgive me if I don't exactly trust said creators to realize that Reva will have to do more than just not kill Luke and cry a bit to fully and completely redeem herself.

Because I don't see that at all. Just that she had a choice to turn away from evil and did so. And probably has less evil to atone for than Darth Vader.
I generally agree but I am always mildly amused by the lines in the sand that are drawn for atonement. The important thing is that Reva turned away from evil, instead of continuing to embrace it. And the same went for Anakin, thirteen years later. It was about him turning away from evil . . . rejecting it. For me, it's not about how many evil deeds he had to atone for.
Why does Reva have to be a part of Cal Kestis' story?Lucasfilm can easily create a solo project for her character.
I would not mind them working together, but Cal has gotten the attention of Vader, which Reva would probably want to avoid, at least for a time. But, personally, I think Reva's story is very much an interesting one, a Force user who cannot be trained in the ways of the Jedi, and is rejecting the Dark Side. I think she could be an interesting protagonist.I am considering her character's negative public reaction. To ease her back to a point where more of the fanbase would accept her getting her own solo project. Like Ahsoka, Reva's going to need a little bit more of a character arc to bring her to a point where she's more generally accepted. After that, a Reva show would be easily accepted for a wider audience.
The horrible behavior of vocal bigots is not a "negative public reaction."I am considering her character's negative public reaction.
