At least I can say we have a Prez who keeps up with this sort of stuff...supposedly Reagan watched one of the Trek films..I cant remember which one but it mustve been Search for Spock, and didn't like it...other than that, I cant recall a president weighing in on Trek, so that its cool that this is such a big event..it means that all of my excitement on opening day wasn't for nothing!

I don't believe he can be compared to Spock. Spock is a one-of-a-kind individual character. I don't blame Barry for eschewing cable news channels. They're all Yellow Journalism at it's finest. (I use the word 'finest' quite loosely here.)
