I don't believe he can be compared to Spock. Spock is a one-of-a-kind individual character. I don't blame Barry for eschewing cable news channels. They're all Yellow Journalism at it's finest. (I use the word 'finest' quite loosely here.)

Well, who can hold it against Spock for acting so illogical around a piece of Hot Chocolate like Uhura? She does have a rather talented tongue...
