I think some people may be jumping to conclusions just because the trailer gives the impression that the villain will be out for revenge so they assume it will be a Khan ripoff and therefore will suck. But we know very little about this villain. So calling the villain a Khan ripoff at this point is premature IMO.

I hope you’re right. But the overall lack of creativity in the live-action franchise lately has me skeptical.

You are right about everyone not knowing how the story will play out but there are only so many ways to tell this kind of story. At worst, they'll just mash up a bunch of different movies into something that doesn't make any sense. Plus, throw in some callbacks to other Trek and boom, tv show!

Since Matalas describes Vadic's backstory as being sympathetic to her actions, this sounds like it could be more Picard Into Darkness. The true villain is probably Lore and/or Moriarty. She is not Khan-like, but nuKhan like.

I wonder if maybe Lore manipulates Vadic into going after Picard. In which case, will Vadic realize that she is being played and switch sides towards the end and help the TNG cast defeat Lore? I am just curious how Lore, Vadic and Moriarty will "work" together. I feel like someone is going to betray someone.

And arguably the best success was the Annorax two-parter in VOY.

I never thought that revenge was what Annorax was after, but the restoration of a timeline with his wife alive? But it has been a while since I’ve seen those episodes.

Commondore Geordi La Forge Wife name is Leah La Forge. Their kids are Alandra, Brett and Sydney, two daughters and a son. That were Geordi wife and kids name were in STTNG All Good Things. In Star Trek Picard trailer. Geodi daughters are name Alandra and Sidney. I'm assuming the Brett is the youngest and he is with mommy on the Enterprise-F. I'm thinking that she is the Captain of that starship. That if it's not Leah Brahms, but some other woman that has a first name of Leah.

Leah Brahms wasn't in Starfleet. So she's not a captain of a starship. Unless it's the holographic version of her that Geordi is married to. Stranger things have happened.

Because she's not a Klingon and has a personal vendetta against Picard, both of which would rule out her being Kang's granddaughter as Kang had nothing to do with Picard. Plus, with NuTreks obsession with nostalgia connections and having learned from Into Darkness if she was Kang's granddaughter they'd be shouting it from the rooftops.
