Nx-01 Helm

Atlanthia

Ensign
Red Shirt
Hi everyone. Here is the latest addition to my collection. The famously missing helm station that Art Asylum never made.
Finally, my set is complete!

That's all for now. Thanks for looking in!

I scratch built it, disassembled it, made molds of all the pieces and then cast them all to build it in resin parts.
I even managed to shoehorn in a working screen.

1. Tell us more about how you made the screen please.
2. Buddy, you should totally hire yourself out. I would hire you to build me an Enterprise E bridge.

Forgot to add:

That looks just amazingly great!

Thank you, knowthyself. Much appreciated.
Its no great shakes I'm afraid. I use digital photo keyrings. The pictures are all variations of the same image. Just a light on or off so to speak. When loaded onto the key chain, I set the slideshow to 1 second intervals and the bulk of the image seems to stay there whilst buttons appear to light up and go out. If it wasn't that simple, I wouldn't be able to do it. Lol!

Im currently constructing the NX-01 bridge and the 1701 TOS bridge (both in 1:10 scale) but a 1701-E bridge could be on the cards at some stage in the near future. Along with a TOS 1:10 scale Gallileo shuttle with full interior. The DS9 Defiant bridge etc etc etc......Just a question of finding the time....anyway, i hope that answers your questions :)
best regards,
Darren

Well, it's beautifully done. Very nice. I would love to have something like that for the First Contact era of Playmates figures on the Enterprise E. Well done sir! And I would not have thought about using those for "screens." Thanks for posting!

Sell yourself short on the screen if you must, but that really is fantastic. Looks great. You should show that to Art Asylum.

Now I wanna build a 1701 Refit bridge in scale with the STII figures with tons of screens.

Wow, this is really, really cool.

Functioning screen? Freakin' awesome. Even though the solution is really simple, it's really clever. I'm a fan.

Maybe we need to get in touch with you for some Pacific 201 miniature sets we're considering building. :D

Wow, that looked so good when I initially saw it I just assumed you managed to get a hold of a prototype. But you made it yourself. Excellent work! :techman: The screen was a nice touch.

Thank you so much for your support. I would love to be involved should you feel I may be of some use to the project. The facebook page makes for exciting reading! I'll post some pictures of my TOS bridge build later if it's of any interest to anyone.

Thanks Chris. I really appreciate the positive feedback from you guys. Its always a little nerve wracking when you join a new forum, so thanks again :)

Very cool, I never thought about using those key rings for something like that! I'm working on a 3D printed tricorder, and that will work for exactly what I was thinking. :)

Can't wait to see the whole bridge.
