Yeah pretty much why Lawson couldn't believe she was putting her ships in as a shield. Fifty-Fifty chance it was a feint to pincer attack, but the Cardassians had already surrendered, so she was hoping.

Days... and no not alternate history. As slotted into Canon as I could make it with the history I could piece together from DS9. The only differences is probably stardates but DS9 kinda quit using the last half of the last season.
