:guffaw: I guess there are no S.T.D.'s in Roddenberry's ''utopia'' then?

So I guess in this ''utopia'' the women (men?) only get prego when they want too? so no more ''unexpected'' surprises?

Exactly. That also means there are no abortions in Utopia. Everyone is happy.

The implant in "primitive" Starfleeters' heads helps with that too.

I remember reading it and thought it a bit odd...tho with Transhumanist fiction on the rise these days, I could call it visionary. But still, I think I prefer the staple of the nuclear family as it's more relatable.

See the original GENESIS 2 pilot. Mariette Hartley has two belly buttons.

The best part of the novelization was the footnote addressing the Spock/Kirk hot gay sex rumors rampant in the Starfleet and the Federation.

Where was this in TNG, beyond only the most vague references?

I saw plenty of his Of Roddenbury's Vision in Early TNG when he had most of his creative control.

    I was not impressed.

I'll settle for J.J.'s Thank you very much
