Late to this thread. What the hell is a "Love Instructor?"

And yes, I agree. If Roddenberry truly had his way, nothing that's been shown on any size screen would be considered canon with the exception of TOS, The Motion Picture, and the first couple of seasons of TNG. Trek has evolved beyond him.

Actually occurding to the OP only TMP and the first couple of seasons of TNG would be canon since Roddenberry tried to decanonize TOS with the TMP novelization.

Had he not been the one who created it, Roddenberry's someone Trek could have done without, it sounds. Brannon Braga, there's a true hero of the franchise.

Yeah till him and Berman got burned out and started repeating themselves a little, which probably wouldn't have been so bad if paramount had put a break between the Trek various shows instead of shoveling one out after the other and it wouldn't have hurt to get some fresh blood.

Please tell me you're joking. If you aren't, just go away and let the next generation of fans carry the torch.

Yes. SR's posts are satire. As has been pointed out repeatedly throughout the thread.

    Real explanation: Sex therapist, probably.

Even more real explanation: Typical Gene Roddenberry hippie bullshit that would have been rejected even in the first season of TNG, that's how bad it was.

Okay, I am a HUGE OLD fan of TOS, and I had issues with the new movie even though I was entertained by it. However none of my issues have come anywhere close to the ones I had with the novel tie of TMP.

I think Gene sorta went off the deep end with those and I am glad they are NOT canon. In my opinion such things De Humanize Humans and wow I really want to know what good old GR was smoking back then
