Now for some fun: Pick Your Band Name / Album Name / Album Cover

I like this one I got just now:

And here's one I did when this went around on LiveJournal a while ago:

Track list:
Her Own Chaperon
That One Objective
Work to Do
Never Going to Die
When it is Thinking
Worlds of Time
Spend it for You
Glorious Uniqueness
For it Often Misleads

" ... haunting synths, ghostly vocals, and downtempo beats carry you on a journey through acoustic landscapes both melancholy and beautiful. FZD2's debut effort leaves you stunned by the end of its 9-track voyage through a world not quite our own, and hungry to make the trip again."

[ZR]^It Definitely is different

Luv the Sidney C. Roach album, Cali:bolian:

From just seeing the album you wouldn't know this electronica pop band comes from Liverpool:

And now, retired rave pioneers HT48RXX I/O Type Series announce a drastic new direction in their music:

Imagine a madman being locked into a room with nothing but a handful of instruments. Ya, the results would be pretty crazy. Well Main Support Battalion has six madmen. The results: an acid trip through a space jungle, with Main Support Battalion as your guide. This tour takes you to the borderline of the sane and insane. It ventures into places with sounds unheard of before. It takes you to beautiful paradises and to torture chambers of the worst kind. This tour is named We Have Earned It. We Have Earned It is an experience, with no other quite like it. Main Support Battalion is the most ambitious and experimental band yet to come from the /.snip./
The debut album from 1970:

Is it within the rules of the game to steal the review from 'somewhere'???

A lot of these belong on the Swan shelf with Geronimo Jackson. :rommie:

Fate was not so kind to me this year:

And apparently I did another one last year, although I don't remember this one:

^Looks like their x-mas album. I mean, the church, the dark skies and the big red cake in the background...

:p
Sorry, I deleted that particular part of the back-catalogue. There was a fatal flaw in the recording which meant that anyone listening to track 33 of the original master could die from subarachnoid haemorrhage. NRC felt that death of the fanbase wasn't good for business, so they pulled the album.

Debut Single: Hanging By A Moment(Lifehouse Cover)

[ZR]^ :( :( :(

Anyways, the Serbian cello virtuoso Ormoceras is back with a collection of tunes perfect for the portable player while you take a long walk enjoying what's left of the sun's power here in the autum...

jina1.jpg

Jina, like her predecessor Enya, has been making interesting music since the 90s, and this retrospective is a good example of her work, covering the period from 'By The Corrupt Few' to 'Covered Up By Paint'. Her excursion into Mongolian pop, while startling, wasn't widely accepted, and is represented by only one piece, "Good Doctor". Since this retrospective, she has moved into AI-generated band synthesis, with 'Know How To Live'.

^Nice artwork.

The press wrote:

New-agey easy-listening tunes with neo-creationistic garbage passing for lyrics.
Rolling Bones

New hymns for a modern faith.
So-so News

OMFG -they drank the kool-aid!
Contemporary Trekkie

Bad news: noted folk-rock pioneer Jimmy McDougall has completely sold out and recorded a feel-good children's album. This is a sad day for the music industry. :(

On the plus side, progressive Middle-Eastern rockers Puzar-Ashur III have recently released a new album as well; jam-packed with political commentary and some thought-provoking spiritual undertones, all with the group's highly-regarded trademark sound, this one-of-a-kind recording will leave you yearning for more.
