Now for some fun: Pick Your Band Name / Album Name / Album Cover

This one's a winner, and a fantastic band name:

I think this came out pretty well. I scored an awesome picture, so I didn't want the fonts to overpower it.

So, what kind of music do we play?

Bollywood. :bolian:

I'm having entirely too much fun:

Band name: List of NATO Reporting Names for Air-to-Surface Missiles
Album title: ...and a bumper sticker

We're a politicized parody band.
Now that is awesome. :D

In the meantime, here's some moody stadium guitar rock which bears no similarity at all to any particular northern English rock group of the mid-80s:

I don't even know where to start with this one... I'm not sure I want to know.

^^ Thanks. I'll try and think of some things for my creations.

This game is just too much fun. Here's trip-hop outfit Račji Dvor Manor (known to their fans as simply "The Manor") with their latest chillout classic:

I'm thinking early 90s rave, me. :D

As it happened, List of NATO Reporting Names for Air-to-Surface Missiles (a.k.a. LONATORNASM ;)) had a long-standing rivalry with this band:

(a.k.a. ROCNAE 91 :bolian:)

And while we're on the indie coinky-dink, how about some early 90's spikey, slightly avant-garde indie on the 4AD record label?

Track listing:

1. Marineland
2. Nonshattering
3. Unhieratical Tunisia
4. Blackbeard

Only four tracks. It's an EP.

:D

My album is

"...and madness gotten finer" by Workplace Revenge.

My album cover is

ClowningAround.jpg

I am amazed how many of our bands, album titles and covers end up so good doing this.

Indeed... there is no finer madness than a clown going postal.

This is eerie

I noticed Australis suggestion that we use the random phrase generator to come up with our tracks. I used it and found that some of the tracks went very well with the album's name, group's name or cover

My ALBUM'S 10 TRACKS ARE

1) optimum postmaster
2) dusty interface
3) notable smiling
4) uniform liking
5) preferred tail
6) moral compllation
7) imprisoned welcoming
8) serial shopping
9) loaded correspondence
10) orchestral problem

band name: Domo de la Feria
album title: it is too late
cover:

A few more discoveries:

This is probably going to be a classical album by some pop-classical pianist:
aarongwin.jpg

This guy is definitely a Bobby Goldsboro tribute act:
andreleysen.jpg

And lastly some synth-heavy poodle rock:

EDIT:
Funnily enough, the next two are real people in the music industry...

Greg Davis, the electronica musician, daring to go all Caribbean and sunshiney for his next release:

Jim "Bat Out Of Hell" Steinman seen here running his own bus service as part of his new side project, "Children and No Theories":

However, this last one is more like it - this prog-rock trio's greatest record:

Damn, this is GREAT!

I wish some of these bands really existed, I'd check them out.

Maybe we could strike a deal with the people at Flickr and whoever else, and set up a company that designs CD covers, like Hipgnosis did back in the 70s (and their work was pretty damn good too - they did do Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here). :)
