Contest: ENTER November Art Challenge : Let There Be Light!

After last month's dark, creepy theme, and the continuing plunge into cold, dark winter (at least in the Northern Hemisphere), how about something light and bright for this month?
With today being Diwali, a festival of lights (one of the major festivals celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and some Buddhists) which symbolizes the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance", what better inspiration for a Star Trek art challenge. So, this month, I'd like us to showcase the light in the Star Trek Universe, whether literally or figuratively/metaphorically. Whatever you do, make it something bright and uplifting!

Here are the rules for the challenge:
  • the artwork you submit should be created during the month of the challenge
  • only one final image can be submitted (although it may contain multiple views)
  • your final entry should be posted in this thread (although dedicated WIP threads are appreciated)
You have until the end of the month, Tuesday 30th November, to come up with a dazzling display or illuminating illustration. May inspiration strike you swiftly. Good luck!

Ha ha! You know, that thought popped into my mind as I was about to post the challenge, @Redfern  :cardie:

(I'm not going to do it though - it's too dark for me. I don't know what I'm going to do at the moment?)

I almost can't quite believe it myself, but I finally found time to work on an entry for one of these again. Thanks for the inspiration, @Cyfa! :)

I went with one of my favorite concepts/designs in all of Trek: A Tear of the Prophets, the Orb of Prophecy and Change, as recreated in MagicaVoxel. Hope you enjoy …

Oof! Sorry I'm late - it's been a busy November. I'm happy to see you've all been creative - and all so different! I'll pop the voting thread up in a bit :)

P.S. Nothing from me this month - inspiration just didn't strike.

Edit: The voting thread is up!
