Noah Hawley Movie Seems Dead

I loved Legion. But that...
time travel reset, none of it happened
...ending? Oof.

That's one way of looking at it. I think of it as David giving himself a clean slate and a chance to be better, free of his curse. Or did any of it happen anyway? Either way, it's very much a journey rather than a destination show, and it's brevity is to it's advantage too. 5 or 6 seasons of it would be too much, but 3 feels like a nice number. It doesn't outstay it's welcome and gets out while it's still good.

"Season 3" of Legion was nothing short of a betrayal of humanity. Not that anyone cares, but just as a matter of fact I could never in good conscience consume something that hawley had any involvement with.

Really? Not even a smidge shy? Seems…unlikely.

To be fair, I’ve not seen any of the show save a couple of promos on TV years ago. But still—it’s just that: a TV show.

(full disclosure, I spent most of the day marking essays on the Holocaust, so the hyperbole seemed a little bit over the top)

Understood and respected, and of course you're right that nothing involving a TV show is anything like genocide. Not to recant what I said, but certainly I understand your reply.

This is a bit of a LEGION SPOILER so be forewarned . . .

Legion was one of my favorite shows ever through season 2. I related to it very personally and emotionally. And then the message of season 3 was that a lifetime of abusing people can be overlooked without even a request for forgiveness, and a person who makes a mistake is irredeemable.

The real tragedy was the refusal to release seasons 2 and 3 on physical media in HD. You could get a burned DVD, that was all. Not even a pressed DVD! :scream: And if you watch the show on, say, Hulu you can see how good it looks in HD. Infuriating...
