No respect for Spock?

Its a logical assumption. Superior technology will garner respect from primitives.

I'm not sure that that's a logical assumption at all. An assumption, yes. Logical? Not really, no.

It may not be faultlessly logical but there is a certain logic to it. A logic that individuals and groups have used time and time again. And Spock who places a great deal of "faith" in science and technology, would find it quite logical.

Justin...love your current avatar. I'm a big Howard McNear fan because of his work as Doc on the radio series of Gunsmoke.

Thanks! I've listened to a bunch of those recently, as it happens. McNear is not as "nice" a Doc as Milburn Stone was on TV, which surprised me. A little more coldly eccentric. As you probably know, Parley Baer (radio Chester) had a recurring role in Season 3 of TAGS as Mayor Stoner. Baer delivered the eulogy at McNear's funeral. Anyway, Andy Griffith said that Howard McNear couldn't not be funny, and he and Don Knotts often had a hard time getting through scenes with him without cracking up, and I can definitely see why!
