No Man's Sky

Sentries were actively sttackingban a small region, no idea why. Have two extra suit slots but have not found any new traders of goods moving into new territory, either aliens or spheres. Learning new words, but not much help in understanding sentences.

Finally found a few drop pods, and an outpost to sell items. Strangely no ships I dealt with have a hyperdrive slot. Going to try for more words,no idea how many you need to talk to traders, maybe dozens?

I have to say that I'm disappointed overall. I like the solitude and exploration, but I don't like the repetitiveness.

Base building (as well as owning large freighters) in an upcoming patch has been announced a while ago.

I guess my question is, Why bother with building a base? Once you leave the system, it's unlikely you will see it again, maybe other players will, but will it be any different as far as services offered than a trading post on the surface? I would suggest being able to buy a large frigate you can upgrade and personalize the interior of, walk around in, etc. and when you warp to a new system, it serves as a base you can operate from, you launch your smaller ship from to go to planets, stations combat, you could even upgrade your frigate so it can assist you in battles or something....just a suggestion, but I guess we shall wait and see how it's all implemented in any patches.

Maybe you have the answer by now. Crashed ships and the ships you can buy reflect the technology department of the ship you currently have. If you don't have a hyperdrive blueprint yet, then none of the ships you find will have a hyperdrive.

I still haven't found the Vykeen yet. I'm in my 5th or 6th system. There is a planet in this star system that has gravatino balls! I'm using it as a bank. Explore a new planet, run low on cash, run back to the gravitino ball planet to collect a few and bump my cash reserve up before I go off to a new planet in the system. I'll have to get me some cash before I leave this system.

I love the most recent upgrade that was released this month. I can finally walk around at normal speed! No more slow motion. Although, I've been booted out of the game twice now.

I should really mainline this game to completion, and fast. I can feel the window for me to finish this game is closing rapidly, games are coming out.

I am surprised at new responses. I have found more drop pods, hyperdrive plans, first load of antimatter, and antimatter plans I. The second system.
I thought I met the Vykeen in system 3. On my fourth, first planet is a hellhole with min temps around 90C. On my second ship but do not have millions to upgrade. Spent more on ecosuit slots.

Any correlation between a desolate bplsnet full of gravatino balls and hyper aggressive sentries?
Got plan for atlas pass v1. Since i am in a free mode, is it worth building and using?

Yes on both...
When you land on a planet with very agressive sentinel it most likely have things that will sell well, like graviton balls...
And Atlas pass v.1 will let you open the other door in space stations where you will be able to find extra slots for your suit...

Thanks.
Moved on to the third planet. Radiation is harsh but the sentinels are calmer. Debating if it is worth it to upgrade to a ship costing millions for maybe four more slots?

Not sure why anyone would spend the time mining all that emerial (or gold) to purchase a ship when you can find them for free and fix them up. I upgraded from the starter ship to a 48 slot ship just by finding abandoned ships and fixing them.

Now, I'm not sure which is the greater hassle, constant mining tons and tons of gold (or emerial) mountains, or consistently having to mine heridium and iron to fix the broke ones. For me, the heridium and iron mining was easier, and a much quicker path to a 48 slot ship.

I had a planet it was easy to spot the crashed spaceships. It was a totally barren, light brown planet, with no vegetation or animals, making surface details easy to make out by flying low over the surface. Since I'm retired, and have nothing better to do, I spent exactly two days finding and fixing ships to get my 48 slot one. I might have a permanent squint on my face now though from staring so intently at the frigging screen. LOL

I have not found crashed ships using the transmissions selection. Easier just to mine and sell as my exosuit slots are close to maxing out. I prefer good mountains but herdium will do. Only ptoblem on cutrent planet is radiation. Planet with gravatino balls have too aggressive sentries on them.
Can you transfer what power is in tye ships thrusters, etc when you buy a new ship?
