No acknowledgment of defiant’s role against the borg in First Contact

Re: No acknowledgment of defiant’s role against the borg in First Cont

That's a bit difficult to believe considering how many rogue Vorta we saw.

We also saw renegade Jem'Hadar, so even the Vorta's overseeing wasn't great.

How many Rogue Vorta did we see? All I remember was Weyoun 6.

When Keevan was marooned in "Rocks and Shoals", he readily switched sides. In "The Magnificient Ferengi", he indicated this would cost him his life if he were ever to be returned to the Dominion... If Eris had telekinesis, it appears precognition was Keevan's forte!

Weoyun's original appearance in "To the Death" also involved betrayal of his own Jem'Hadar and sidestepping of his standing orders for increased personal security. He didn't exactly join the Federation side like Keevan, but his actions fell little short of that.

Gelnon from "One Little Ship" was not acting against Dominion interests per se, but his capturing of the Defiant and placing of a prize crew was a selfish act that cost him many of his Jem'Hadar and allowed the Defiant to survive, while he himself continued with his originally assigned mission.

Deyos obeyed Gul Dukat instead of his actual Dominion superiors in not releasing Garak from prison, thus causing internal Cardassian tensions that served against his true superiors' interests.

I guess blind obedience is not something the Founders bred into their Vorta. If they really wanted initiative-less automatons, they could have cut the middlemen and operated directly through the Jem'Hadar Firsts...

Which...REALLY doesn't mesh with why they made the Dominion...hmmm.

Well they are a cloned race and they need their generals to be able to think, if one goes rogue they just get a new one.
