^ How about a disk per week?

 While it would surprise many people I know, I think 3 is about my limit as I do occassionally do things unconnected to B5. Not often, mind, but sometimes.

Jan

Considering it IS about Babylon 5 and all, I think the number three is perfect. Three is Sacred, after all. :)

I would suggest this, though ... We do 3 episodes at a time, beginning next week. Then at the end of each season, do a season review.

Starting with season 2, then continuing through the end, 3 episodes per week, except the last 2 weeks, when it's 2 episodes per week (22 episodes per season, after all. Otherwise it would be one episode that last week).

And the movies won't start until after the season finale ... Then the movies in production order two per week ... then Crusade.

The last time I rewatched the series I did so in a week...but I agree that's not quite the way to go here. :D (I don't have that kind of spare time any more anyway.) Three eps a week sounds good.

I totally agree with the thoughts & intentions of Vash. But not just Niners, but ALL Treksters should join together around JMS's vision of the future.

Remember the good ole days when TNT aired B5 reruns every weeknight at 7PM with the intention being to broadcas B5 to as large & mainstream an audience or audiences as possible? I wish TNT or TBS or SpikeTV would air B5 weeknights at 7pm & encore at 11pm.

Here's hoping

I guess I better buy the missing movies and the Crusade DVDs, then

I watched Midnight on the Firing Line this morning.

This was not a Sinclair episode. He was heavily featured, but it did not focus around him like some do.

What really came through in this episode is Sinclair's tactical smarts----not just in a fighter, but at the bargaining table as well.

There's really not a whole lot I can say on the matter, except.....if there's a loophole in a rule, Sinclair is willing and able to exploit it. If there isn't, he'll just whip out the scissors and make one. All for the greater good, of course.

I wonder how Jeffry Sinclair would have faired in the Kobayashi Maru scenario.

Well, it looks like everyone who has posted is in agreement about doing 3 episodes a week. So let's try that starting this weekend and see how it goes.

OmahaStar, I'm gonna rely on you to let us know when would be the best time to watch the films. I know when a few of them fall, but not all of them, so if you'd remind us when one is coming up in the chronological order, that would be fantastic! :)

It'll be awhile ... If we slip them in where they fall chronologically, the first one won't happen til season 4 anyway. :D

A quick observation while watching "Midnight on the Firing Line":

All these "Ambassadors" seem to have a fair number of weapons stashed around their quarters. :D

Yeah, well, they always did seem a bit over-empowered for mere ambassadors. They're supposed to be the voice of their governments, not the decision-makers of said governments.

Doesn't really bother me though.

I'm in the same boat as you!

Just a bump for any last-minute additions before Phase Two begins this weekend ...

^ Actually, I've been thinking about this, and I've decided to pin it. I suspect this thread is gonna be really active and that will make it easier for everyone to find quickly. :)

Wich episodes are in phase I and phase II? I'd like to catch up before it's too late.

The Gathering (optional) and the first ep of season one in Phase I, second, third and fourth episodes in Phase II. ;)

Here goes ... Week #, beginning date, and episodes

1 - 1/8 - The Gathering (optional, either version); Midnight on the Firing Line

2 - 1/15 - Soul Hunter, Born to the Purple, Infection

3 - 1/22 - Parliament of Dreams, Mind War, War Prayer

4 - 1/29 - And the Sky Full of Stars, DeathWalker, Believers

5 - 2/5 - Survivors, By Any Means Necessary, Signs & Portents

6 - 2/12 - TKO, Grail, Eyes

7 - 2/19 - Legacies, War Without End, parts 1 and 2

8 - 2/26 - Babylon Squared, Quality of Mercy, and Chrysalis

That brings up up through the last week of February, and the end of season 1, and is based on the idea of doing 3 episodes, starting Sunday and ending Saturday.

And, just wondering ... Are Jan and I the only ones doing the in-character reviews?

I got the impression from Vash's OP that the plan was to talk about our chosen character throughout the series, how they changed, what impact they had on the events around them, rather than be "in character"...so yeah, probably. :D
