I would like to have heard Lyta's named mentioned.... but remember all that she put them through. It will be a long time before people will "get over" what happened with the Vorlons

Isn't the story that she died during the Telepath War? I've always assumed that meant she died fighting the Alliance and the Normals, but I guess that's all speculation on my part. We don't even really know who fought who in the telepath war.

In Legend Of The Rangers, G'Kar mentions Lyta doesn't he?

I haven't seen LOTR yet, due to it not being in the already expensive movies boxset and due to poor word of mouth. Or read the books another poster mentioned.

It's not in the boxset. You can only buy it by itself.

Yep. If I see it for under 10 bucks with shipping and/or tax, I'd pick it up, but otherwise I can't see the reason. Maybe I'll get it on Netflix one of these days, along with Crusade. But first I have to afford the previously mentioned box set (I just completed all five seasons of B5 on DVD).

Ahh.... the famous accidental reflection!

Her end was written to be shown in Crusade but they couldn't come to an agreement with the actress.

Yeah. Specifically, in the Crusade episode "The Path of Sorrows", the Telepath War flashback from Matheson's POV--the female telepath prisoner was originally written to be Lyta. That was supposed to be how Lyta dies. But they couldn't get Pat Tallman for that episode.

the girl they got was way hotter.

Re: First time impressions from the Babylon 5 virgin

Boy... does she not look utterly STUNning in white?

Re: First time impressions from the Babylon 5 virgin

Delenn looks so radiant in that dress. A beautiful picture for him to take with him.

My heart's about to break...

I haven't seen that episode yet, but from the sound of it, I'm glad Pat Tallman couldn't do it. Just sounds so stupid, at least in writing. But I wasn't a fan of what they did with Lyta in season five at all. It would be pretty hard to recover that in my mind.

I know why he doesn't look back, of course...but geez... :(

Really? Could YOU have then turned back and left, after looking at your soul mate that one last time?

Besides... it's the perfect counterpoint to that scene in "Z'ha'dum"

Yes. I don't remember if he mentions her by name, but he makes a cryptic reference to her, saying something like "she's gone now". In the timeline, Rangers comes just after the Telepath War, and, as was mentioned, Lyta is supposed to die in the Telepath War.

That's such a great shot. Between that and the shot reverse shot of Delenn in white and JS in black, this show has a lot of beautiful photography. I hope the Lost Tales look as good. I guess it will partly be dependent on the script.

I love that episode. But maybe I'm the only one.

I think Bablyon 5 just fell of the radar of importance. By the time this episode takes place, even Sheridan isn't one to care about it anymore, beyond wanting to take one last look.

Exactly. I know all that. If he'd turned back, he'd never have left. But it's just such a wrenching moment.

"I know the way, commander." That line gets me every time, for some reason...

I look forward to being proven wrong. I just haven't seen it yet, that's all.

Re: First time impressions from the Babylon 5 virgin

You know...it is really hard to multi-task watching, crying AND typing.

Just sayin. :p
