Re: First time impressions from the Babylon 5 virgin

Not only what happened with the Vorlons, Lyta was a major player in the Teep war, too.

Re: First time impressions from the Babylon 5 virgin

Now, I understand why Lochley isn't present in this episode, but I kind of wish she was in it as well. I must have watched too much Crusade ;)

I would like to have heard Lyta's named mentioned.... but remember all that she put them through. It will be a long time before people will "get over" what happened with the Vorlons

Isn't the story that she died during the Telepath War? I've always assumed that meant she died fighting the Alliance and the Normals, but I guess that's all speculation on my part. We don't even really know who fought who in the telepath war.

Which we never see but can surmise, especially if you read Keyes' trilogy

Re: First time impressions from the Babylon 5 virgin

OK, I have not been watching the episode as I was busy with something else, but I hope you all don't mind if I jump in here:

but what about G'kar? Garibaldi says his name...what ever became of him?

He dies at Londo's hands in War Without End.

In Legend Of The Rangers, G'Kar mentions Lyta doesn't he?

Re: First time impressions from the Babylon 5 virgin

they're in bed... the later bed scene with delenn (alone) in bed is my favorite scene in the episode

Her end was written to be shown in Crusade but they couldn't come to an agreement with the actress.

Re: First time impressions from the Babylon 5 virgin

What do you do, when the one soul you love so deeply... is going to die in less than a few days... and you know it. What do you say to everyone else who has no idea what to say themselves?

Interesting...

Re: First time impressions from the Babylon 5 virgin

"Tomorrow is Sunday, Delenn...and I'm going out for a drive."

Time for that to go back in my sig, I think....

I haven't seen LOTR yet, due to it not being in the already expensive movies boxset and due to poor word of mouth. Or read the books another poster mentioned.

Re: First time impressions from the Babylon 5 virgin

Keep an eye out for Delenn's "ultra-poofy hairdo" in this scene. :D

It's not in the boxset. You can only buy it by itself.

Indeed. Another unfortunate misstep of Crusade I guess. Just didn't have a chance.

Re: First time impressions from the Babylon 5 virgin

Yeah. Specifically, in the Crusade episode "The Path of Sorrows", the Telepath War flashback from Matheson's POV--the female telepath prisoner was originally written to be Lyta. That was supposed to be how Lyta dies. But they couldn't get Pat Tallman for that episode.

Re: First time impressions from the Babylon 5 virgin

Yes, John. Of course the uniform shrunk.
