But credit the Charge! action channel for rerunning nine straight hours of HOMICIDE on Thursdays.
Hmm, I thought that was more a drama series than an action series.

Usually so. There was extra-suspenseful action during the sixth season in particular. Charge! is cop-heavy in their lineup, and they decided to get the second-best cop show ever IMO with HOMICIDE.Hmm, I thought that was more a drama series than an action series.
Where minimal variation goes to thrive. Long ago they ran BOSTON LEGAL, but since it lacked sufficient cops. They don't have original programming (although ION now airs WNBA and NWSL games on a regular basis), but they sure love showing entire blocks of Without a Trace, CSI: Miami, NCIS: New Orleans, Cold Case, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Blue Bloods, Hawaii FIve-0, The Closer, Chicago Fire and Chicago PD all day every day.
An HBO version of Hill St would probably look a lot like "the Wire."You'll also notice they're not reviving or remaking ST. ELSEWHERE or HILL STREET, though it could be fun to see future HBO versions of those.
