NFL Football 2009

Congrats to the Colts. Now I just hope Farve is on his ass a few times and the Saints win. Saints/Colts, That will be a doozy.

Let's go Saints!

The way the game is going today, you can'e be certain the Colts would have won even if they HAD played everyone that day. My point is the whole issue is so overblown by self-righteous blowhard sportswriters that it's laughable.

This is more of a response to your Baltimore game comment, but I'm not sure how going 1-1 in the postseason would've answered the critics.

As a Patriots fan, I don't particularly like the Colts (though I do like Manning), but I hate the Jets, so this has been an excellent game for me. :D The first half was pretty surprising, but I'm not shocked that the Colts have completely taken over in the second half.

Still rooting for the Saints to win it all, though.

Eh, I still hate Manning, but yeah, the rest of this is right.

Fuck the Jets.

Because they won that first game after their break. The ravens helped of course, but if the Colts were so out of synch because of taking those last two reg season games off, then how did they score that much against a great defense like the Ravens? Including two scores in the last couple of minutes of the first half? No matter what happened today, I don't see how the question is still relevant if the Colts won the week before. The offense looked much better today, but it isn't as if last week they stunk up the joint.

ETA: holy smokes what an opening drive by the Vikings!!!

Oh wow this is going to be SUCH a fun game to watch!!!! Rock ON!!!

ETA: Back-n-forth... trading fumbles, then TD's again. Now Favre gets hurt and the Saints get penalized on a personal foul call where even the announcers disagree with each other. And Favre is now limping off the field after the Saints pick off the pass. Serious pain being inflicted!!

No kidding! Hard hits, great plays in passing, a few turnovers... not a whole lot of greatness in the running game. But wow, Favre whether you like him or not is leaving it all on the field. Of course... alot of that is from fumbles....

It just occurred to me, if the Saints were playing the Jets in the Super Bowl, it could have literally been Will Smith vs Nick Mangold, two teammates from OSU's national championship game!

Did somebody put crisco on the ball today because they thought it would be funny? Way too many turnovers, but still a pretty entertaining game.

Looks like the Vikings have the momentum to drive and score right here.

How poetic, Brett Favre's last pass of this season, possibly his career, was an interception. It was about time that the Vikings got Favred.
I did rather feel bad for him and the team though, they, in many ways, were the better team today (especially the second half, outside of the fumbles).

Hate the Colts, so Saints all the way...

That's how he finished his LAST NFC championship game, and his Green Bay career, as well.

So glad I don't have to hear about Favre OR the J-E-T-S for the next two weeks!

As much as it hurt me to root for the Colts, at least that's over, and can go for the Saints now. Should be a good matchup either way.

I don't get this Colts hate.

Must be a lot of Patriot fans. ;)

I'm loving this Super Bowl match up. I want to see the Saints win because it will be terrific for the city, but if the Colts win, I'm fine with that too. I like Payton and to see him get Ring #2 would be great. Still, I'm rooting for the Saints just because of the feel good aspect of it.

And while I like Farve gutting it out at the end there, I'm glad he's not going to the Super Bowl. If he had, I think that would have been the only story, Farve this and Farve that after his last two years of in-decision.
