You know, I was thinking about you every time they updated the score or cut in with a highlight. "JKTim is NOT going to like this". Sorry about that.

The Giants won again though. Two for two now in the really tough part of their schedule. Now we just have the Cardinals, Redskins, Eagles, Cowboys, Panthers and Vikings left to go. Not a pleasant prospect.

Dear Ron Turner and Bob Babich,

Get fucked.

Dear Lovie Smith,

You're next on the list. Fire those two clowns before you make Dick Jauron's loyalty to John Shoop a mere footnote on the list of "Bears coaches who stubbornly stuck by ineffective and useless coordinators."

Love, hugs and Cadbury Creme Eggs,
Tim

Oh.

Dear Bears defense,

Eat dick and don't stop, don't you dare stop, until further notice.

That is all.

and Bly let them have 2 big catches, but overall they kept Atlanta surprisingly reigned in, especially in the running game. There are a lot of rookies that are playing well for just starting, and Hillis is really starting to establish himself.

Ironically, it was Bly's interception that essentially sealed the win for the Broncos today.

The Giants/Ravens game was far different than I expected. Yes, the Ravens didn't allow a 100 yd rusher, but that was an individual rusher. The Giants were still able to run the ball well, with Bradshaw 9 for 96 and Jacobs 11 for 73. Giants really seem to be playing the best ball overall of any team in the league. Long season to go, but they are peaking nicely.

^That is true. In the end, Bly did do his part for winning the game. But, I still miss having Bailey back there to cover the top receivers. When they have Bailey back there, the half of the field that contains the top receiver gets completely ignored by offenses. And, unfortunately, Bly simply isn't as scary to quarterbacks.

That has to have been, without a doubt, the saddest, most pathetic five quarters of football I have ever watched :(

The Eagles tied the frigging Bengals. If we tied the Giants, that might be defensible. There's nothing that can excuse this today.

I seriously doubt that there is a single coach in the league who would NOT take Bailey over Bly. Still, I always like scenes where a guy atones for earlier mistakes.

Dear Rams,

Please disband and join other teams.

I hear McDonald's is hiring.

Your Pal,

1001001

PS: You Suck Ass!

maybe between the rams and the Bengals we might be able to come up with a complete team.

Nahhh... I didn't really think so, either.

At this point, I'd like the Lions to make history and just go 0-16.

I have a question, is there any statistical evidence that "icing the kicker" has any effect?

Christ.

The Jaguars once again handed the ball game away. SIX consecutive three-and-out drives in the second half, capped off with an interception in the seventh. Oh, and the secondary allowed the Titans to run willy-nilly across the field and into the end zone.

Does anyone remember me guaranteeing a division title for the Cardinals just after they were eliminated last year ... and in addition, mentioning that Seattle was done?

No applause, just throw money.

What in the world happened at the end of the SD/Pittsburgh game? I can't find any replays right now, but at the time during the game, I couldn't see the "illegal forward pass" that the refs saw. It didn't change the outcome any, but it was just odd.

The penalty prevented Polamalu's TD, giving the ball back to San Diego. The penalty was on San Diego, so I'm guessing that there wasn't a choice on Pittsburgh's part as to declining said penalty. I'm not sure how to reason this out to satisfaction. I guess had Pittsburgh declined it, SD gets the ball at the original line of scrimmage and they get another shot. Take the penalty and SD still has the ball, but 10 yds back, and they still get another shot. Since it didn't happen on 4th down, possession doesn't go to Pittsburgh.

^That's not a biggie, I think the big thing I'm asking about is when the illegal pass happened, because in everything I saw during the game, I didn't see it. Not a big deal really, I suppose I'm just more curious than anything.

I haven't seen a replay on it yet, though. I've checked a few blogs, and there are a great many people puzzled/pissed at the call.
