Too bad that's not what happened.
The Cardinals outhit, outhustled and flat-out outplayed the Cowboys, and their defensive pressure prevented them from playing their game. The cartoon implies that if both had come in on all cylinders that Dallas would've won, and it just ain't so—not any longer, that is. You didn't hear the Cardinals whining about Anquan Boldin's absence for their big game. Instead, they steeled themselves and decided, "So what? We're gonna whup their ass anyway."
And that's exactly what happened.
You could tell that the blocked punt TD left Troy Aikman with a taste in his mouth like he'd just fellated a huge turd. It was great.
[Sorry. Didn't see at first that the cartoon referred specifically to Pacman Jones, as opposed to the Cowboys as a whole. My bad. To his credit, Tony Romo had few excuses postgame, and afforded the Cards' defense its due. Despite the fact that he's a Cowboy, I like that kid.
The team itself isn't nearly so obnoxiously insufferable in its sense of entitlement as Cowboys Nation is. "America's Team"? Not my America.]
