NFL Discussion - 2013 Season

The Bears had already lost DT's Melton & Nate Collins for the year.

Now they've lost LB D.J. Williams for the year.

FUCK!

This is a blessing in disguise...gives Bostic a chance to play. DJ Williams has been, putting it diplomatically, not good.

So, bigger dumpster fire today: Texans or Vikings? Tough call.

I didn't think Williams was that bad and Bostic showed signs of greatness in the pre-season.

Definitely a lack of depth now.

Very good Chiefs game today. Where Oakland ended up 3rd and 48 at one point (!) and Arrowhead officially made it into the Guinness Book of World Records by being the loudest stadium in the NFL, reaching 137.5 decibels! The noise level was enough to cause the Raiders to have 11 penalties for false-starts and delays game.

Can't believe Brady pulled that out. I want to boycott the internet for the next week. I am livid.

That Rams/Texans game was a thing of beauty!

Rams score on offense, defense, and special teams, while Houston turns the ball over 4 times inside the Rams' 20.

So I wonder how many Texans fans are still wanting Yates as the starter now?

:techman:
From a fantasy football point of view, I loved that game! Both of my opponents had the Houston defense and scored negative points.

My Packers still look ugly, but at least they won. Might be hurting at WR (Jones and Cobb both limped off the field), but the defense looked mighty good.

Looking forward to reading the St. Paul paper tomorrow and seeing what they have to say about the Vikings debacle.

That throw was as good as it gets. Vintage Brady.

Oh and go Cowboys! If you haven't seen Romo's TD pass to Terrance Williams you might want to look it up.

The Texans suck. Horribly. Well, I guess it's back to the same old crap if you live in Houston. The Oilers never did it, and it's not looking good for the Texans either. To bad I didn't give up the NFL permanently when the Oilers left town. I should have.

It's time to give up on Matt Schaub or at least not rely on him to be the #1. He has never proven he can stay healthy nor has he really led them to anything in terms of playoff glory.

Maybe Johnny Football will move over from A&M to the Texans!

:p

Also, kinda excited that the rookie WRs are starting to get their shit together. Still not perfect, but coming along nicely. Honestly, Brady is the one who has looked a little inconsistent, not all of these things have been on the kids.

Injuries have gotta stop, though. Amendola got his bell rung pretty good (not his fault, can't talk injury prone on that one, he got creamed), Talib has a hip thing going on, Mayo went down with some sort of shoulder or collarbone thing, Wilfork out for the year with an ankle injury, Tommy Kelly with a bum knee missed last take, and then whatever's going on with Gronk (any time now...). Shit is adding up....

Costly victory for Dallas last night. Demarcus Ware out 3-4 weeks which is pretty much the death knell for the defensive line which is already missing Anthony Spencer and Jay Ratliff. Demarco Murray is also going to be out leaving Romo with even less of a rushing attack. They are going to have an uphill battle in Philadelphia next week.

For this upcoming week, the Giants are 3.5 point favorites over the Vikings...ouch. Freeman time for Minnesota?

If this were Facebook I would 'Like' this post. Big Chiefs fan here! Yes, even last year when we stunk.

The Texans have named Case Keenum their Week 7 starting quarterback against the Chiefs.

Case Keenum is going to die on the field.

Obligatory: "Who??" I've literally never heard this name before today and I follow the NFL pretty closely.

He's a small quarterback who went undrafted last year out of the University of Houston and signed with the Texans.

Keenum is an "Air Raid"-type quarterback, on a team whose passing schema is demonstrably compromised, playing a team whose D-line spends most of its time in the opposing backfield. He is going to get murdered on live television.
