NFL 2023: A different shade of green for Aaron Rodgers

The first QB benching of the season goes to the Cardinals and Joshua Dobbs. Rookie Clayton Tune will likely start on Sunday if Kyler Murray isn't ready.

The bye week comes at the right time for the 49ers. What an ugly 3 weeks that was. The Defense needs to play a lot more angrier because they aren't getting paid to be soft.

I'm disappointed, but not surprised, that the Rams couldn't take advantage of this slide. Instead we went into a worse one of our own. And it doesn't look like it's going to get better any time soon.

Meanwhile, the fucking Sea Chickens sit atop the NFC West.

Bears trade their second round pick (which is really high) for DE Montez Sweat. Not sure what the point of this was since they're awful and he's going to be a free agent. They need to try to lock him up to an extension, although joining a pitiful defense, he could end up struggling.

Before the trade deadline ends....

Vikings trading for Cardinals QB Joshua Dobbs.
49ers trading for Commanders DE Chase Young.
Bears trading for Commanders DE Montez Sweat.
Jags trading for Vikings G Ezra Cleveland.
Lions trading for Browns WR Donovan Peoples-Jones.

I really don't understand this move. The Bears are dogshit garbage, and as you said, Sweat is going to free agency. I mean, the Bears project to have about $110 million in cap space in the offseason, so they can afford to re-sign him, but Montez Sweat has never had a double-digit sack season and he's nearing 30.

I just don't get it. You don't tank and also trade high picks. Can I have some of whatever Ryan Poles is smoking?

Especially considering that they could’ve just pursued him in Free Agency.

Seahawks give up a second round 2024 pick and a fifth round 2025 pick for New York Giants DL Leonard Williams, and New York is on the hook for paying out the rest of his 2023 contract worth $10 million.

Chase Young to the Niners.

Jesus Mary and Joseph.

And the first firings of the season go to head coach Josh McDaniels and GM David Ziegler of the Las Vegas Raiders.

McDaniels and Ziegler will probably land in New England as Belichick’s successors.

Bears RB coach has been fired for a workplace "behavior issue". Their second assistant coach to go for something like this.

But Eberflus maintains they don't have culture problems.
