NFL 2022: The Fall of the "Immunized" Aaron Rodgers

And now the Eagles have lost their DC. Jonathan Gannon is the new Cardinals head coach.

Raiders release Derek Carr.

I wouldn't bet against the Seahawks ending up with Derek Carr. Geno Smith slumped badly down the stretch and Pete Carroll is 71 years old. Now's the time if Seattle thinks they have a possible Super Bowl contender.

Philly has now lost the most recent World Series and Super Bowl. That probably hurts for Philly fans.

Eric Bieniemy going to Washington to be their new OC with total control of the offense (and probably be the head coach in waiting when Ron Rivera gets fired).

Still has to be better than Chicago sports, where they just suck balls year after year.

I'm hoping DeMeco Ryans turns the Texans around. They are in as sad as shape as a professional football team can be. I think the original version of the Houston Roughnecks could beat the Texans right now. LOL

Eagles linebackers coach Nick Rallis is the new Cardinals DC. And he's only 29!

Browns quarterbacks coach Drew Petzing is the new OC. He's 35.

I like the Texans and want them to succeed. It'd be nice to for Texas to have a team besides the gong show of the Cowboys.

Is there any truth to the pictures that Kyler isn't happy when he shook hands with Gannon?

Josh Jacobs and Daniel Jones had their fifth-year options declined by their teams and it backfired since they're now going to make a killing with their next contracts. Any other times this has happened?

ACL injuries by team since 2013:

Bad conditioning coaches, bad playing fields, or just bad luck?

All three most likely. Just plain bad luck can't account for the difference between the top and bottom. San Francisco has had more than three times the ACL injuries than Atlanta, so there's definitely something going on there to cause that difference. One is an indoor stadium and one is an outdoor stadium, but I don't know the conditions of the fields.

Turf type could enter into it as well. They're saying that rubberized turf isn't as safe as they once thought.

Peyton Hillis is back on the road to recovery after almost dying saving his two kids from drowning.

Amazing story. Hillis is a hero.

I don't think Jones is ever going to be more than a Jared Goff level QB: a competent placeholder. I doubt he'll ever be able to kick into next gear and take a team to the Super Bowl. Jacobs may end up getting a big contract, but it was one season. He might have to prove that he can keep doing it this year.
