In backup QB news, Jarrett Stidham to Denver for 2 years, $10 million.

Mike White to Miami for 2 years, $16 million.

The Chicago Bears are giving Buffalo Bills free agent linebacker Tremaine Edmunds a four-year, $72 million contract that includes $50 million guaranteed. It is the largest four-year contract for an inside linebacker in the NFL.

Earlier in the day, the Bears agreed to a three-year contract with Philadelphia Eagles free-agent LB T.J. Edwards worth $19.5 million, including $12 million in guaranteed money.

The Bears also made a move to bolster their offensive line, agreeing to a three-year contract with Tennessee Titans free agent guard Nate Davis.

We definitely need the O-line help, but maybe a DE in the Khalil Mack level.

The Seahawks decided that the Broncos don't need DE Dre'mont Jones anymore and gave him $51 million.

The Chicago Bears finally made a move along the defensive line in free agency. Chicago is expected to sign defensive end DeMarcus Walker to a three-year, $21 million deal.

7 sacks for the Titans last season, which is better than any Bear. Our lead sacker was a safety with 4.

He's no Khalil Mack, but an improvement.

I mean, Mack is a generational talent, and this year's free agent market is pretty weak on most fronts.

Jets sign Lazard. 4 years, $44M.

They are gonna get even less return out of Rodgers treating him like an Asst. GM. Mainly because they're the Jets, and also because Rodgers is well past his "use by" date. Whatever strides they made in 2022, they'll backslide in 2023 operating like this.

The Jets are going to sign all of Rodgers' friends, Rodgers agrees to the trade, and then he fails the physical.

Or he decides to retire following the trade.

    Hail Satan.

The Jets should be embarrassed to be pandering to Rodgers. They had a good rebuild going and now here we are.

Hey, can we get Garrett Wilson for D'Andre Swift?

I mean, it's funny as hell that the Packers have catered to Rodgers' every whim for the last few years--not showing up to mandatory camps and practices, showing up late to training camp--and now that the Jets and Packers are willing to eat their cap medicine, it's only because they're getting an old quarterback who may or may not play next year, and now Rodgers is enough of a baby that he will only accept a trade if the Jets sign his best friends.

("Friends" being relative; Rodgers used to be tight with Greg Jennings, and Jennings will show up on any radio or TV show to talk about how much of a whiny bitch Rodgers is.)

Baker Mayfield, 1 year deal with Tampa Bay worth up to $8.5 million.

Washington LB Cole Holcomb to the Steelers.

DB Jordan Poyer stays with the Bills.

Eagles plan to release CB Darius Slay.

Texans signed Case Keenum. So now they have Keenum and Davis Mills, neither of which should be starting for an NFL team. My guess is they're gonna get a QB in the draft. Hope they pick the right one. LOL

He also played for my Skins and the Broncos (and the Browns, and the Bills, and the Vikings). Sucked there too - bigly. He'll probably get passed around a few more teams, I wager, like a $2.00 hooker until he realizes he should just probably take up golf.

That one time he threw a pass to Diggs was pretty cool.
