NFL 2021 season - Belichick Strikes Back

Am I the only person who thought they should've gone with a hog-related nickname? Razorbacks would probably be out of the question, but I'm sure there's something they could've found. Going that direction was pretty obvious.

I think they should've retired Redskins and everything associated with that particular name. Including the color scheme. I think they should've started fresh.

Nah, that color scheme is really pretty unique (at least in the NFL). As it is, if those new unis are legit, they've gone with the obligatory black scheme so many teams do. Better than the teal explosion a ways back.

Hell, a mostly yellow jersey would've been a better fit than black.
 
Their old ketchup & mustard unis were probably the closest to the 49ers. If only they played the game half as well.

Some of the team names from Any Given Sunday or The Replacements would have been far more attractive than this. Hell, the team in The Replacements WAS the Washington Team - The Sentinels - now THAT is a cool fucking name!
 
Everybody talking about the Commanders and Snyder probably hoping that makes people overlook the horribly damning new allegations against the organization - and not even so much the organization as him in particular.

He needs to be ejected from the League.
 
So does Goodell to get anything substantive done, to be fair. The fish really does stink from the head-down. He and the other owners squandered an opportunity to crush Snyder for the sexual harassment culture of the team's upper echelons not too long ago. Probably because it would mean mutually-assured destruction for the rest of that privileged strata within the League. You can't put the shit back in the horse and I think a metric ass-ton of them would fall like dominoes once REAL investigations get started, likely from an independent third party. Goodell is clearly protecting the status-quo, which makes him criminally complicit.
