NFL 2021 season - Belichick Strikes Back

That's not the same at all. There is not enough time, longitudinal studies, to satisfy my concerns. I can't speak for others, but I'm not going sit there and say that everyone who rejects the vaccine is "anti-science" when I sit down and listen to press conferences from Germany discussing concerns about the vaccines. Too much politics in this right now for me to be confident in what is being suggested.

As for Rodgers, I don't know, but man that's not a good look.
 
Henry Ruggs is going away for a very long time. Reports are that he was doing 156 mph and “slowed” to 127 just before the collision. His blood alcohol was .16, which is twice the legal limit. The DA is considering filing an additional DUI because of the injuries to Ruggs’ passenger. My guess is that the Raiders were made aware of all this yesterday, thus the decision to release him outright.

If he had any decency or brains, he would plead guilty and ask the court for mercy. But if he had those two attributes, I doubt. he’d have gotten drunk and driven his car the way he did.

And just like that, a young woman’s life is over because of a frunken idiot showing off. Henry deserves to spend a sizable chunk of his remaining years behind bars.

Sorry if “anti-science” offends you, but saying “it doesn’t make any difference, it may as well be kool aid in those needles” is about as anti-science as it gets. Don’t accuse me of throwing the label around “willy nilly” if you’re going to say something so absurd.

Based on the distractions the Raiders have had, Bisaccia deserves the Head Coach job if he guides them to the playoffs.

Why are longitudinal studies required? It's been 11 months since the first EUA applications were filed for Moderna and Pfizer, and 18 since the first mRNA trials started.
mRNA as a vaccine delivery platform was conceived in the 1960's, and as recently as 1990 was used as a candidate for a flu vaccine.

They are required for myself to understand the long term side effects of this specific vaccine. That is my opinion based upon my own recent research. Others will disagree. And that's all I will say in the NFL thread.

Serious side effects that could cause a long-term health problem are extremely unlikely following any vaccination, including COVID-19 vaccination. Vaccine monitoring has historically shown that side effects generally happen within six weeks of receiving a vaccine dose.

Myself, my wife, my mother-in-law (Pfizer) and my two oldest kids (Moderna) have been vaccinated for nearly six months, my 14 year old for four months (Pfizer).

There is nothing to wait on. Every piece of literature I’ve ever read has said that six weeks is usually the cutoff for a vaccine to have a negative impact.

Your odds of getting hit by a bus are likely far greater than being negatively impacted by a COVID vaccine in any way.

Definitely never saw you in this light before. What long term effects are they expecting from these particular vaccines? Or are they pissing in the pool trying to get people riled up? And how long are you supposed to wait?

I'll wait five years. By then any potential long term side effects will be known, research will have been done and observations taken. That's how I trust science to unfold is through repeated observations. And that's not relevant to the NFL so I will leave my piece at that.
 
So, it seems one of the stipulations of the Rams moving to LA was that Stan Kroenke would be financially liable for any settlements/penalties against the NFL that come from the St. Louis lawsuit against the league. Now Kroenke seems to be backpedaling away from that agreement leaving other NFL owners furious.

Actually, one of my biggest fears is that Mark might use the Raiders making the playoffs as “cover” for hiring Bissacia as HC rather than conducting a diligent search for the right person. I felt this way even before the Ruggs situation,


If the Raiders do make the playoffs, it’ll be a job wel done but not necessarily a job Rich should keep.
