NFL 2021 season - Belichick Strikes Back

Agreed. The departure of Peyton Manning was only the beginning. Any team that relies solely on one single player to achieve greatness is short-lived. Between the death of the owner a couple years back and multitude of injuries and subsequent player turnovers since 2016, it's been quite the comedy of errors.

On an interesting side-note as it applies to Broncos ownership, Peyton's name came up recently. The people of Denver are quite desperate for a change.

Honestly, I think anyone would be better at this point. #FireJohnElway started being a thing for the first time a couple of seasons ago. I predict it will make a comeback soon. They have their own Fa ... er... Meta page too.

At least there is some passion there, I think Miami has just given up on the Dolphins completely. Decades of incompetence will do that to a fan base. I wouldn't be surprised to see them in play to move to London eventually.

Watson isn't going anywhere until his legal status is cleared up. No one is going to trade for Watson without protection in the trade agreement if he goes to jail or something, and the Texans aren't giving that. It'll be next offseason before anything *maybe* happens with the Watson situation. Legal depositions for the civil cases don't start until early next year, and a date for the depositions for the criminal charges hasn't been announced. No grand juries have been convened or scheduled.

Uh...GOOD!

I knew something was up when they traded Kenny Young out of nowhere, but Miller wasn't even on my radar.

Pairing him with Leonard Floyd in the 3-4 is going to be fucking outstanding.

:techman:

Rams appear to be attempting to construct a Super Bowl champion similar to the way an NBA team would do it, by completely eschewing draft picks in favor of veteran (veteran stars in particular. Speaking about the Lakers here and maybe the Sixers’ Daryl Morley, It hasn’t worked yet for Morey, and has for the Lakers.

The Pats in their heyday, would acquire vet stars, but they always seemed to hold onto their picks, for the most part. It worked for them. But other erstwhile dynasties like the Seahawks and lately,, the Chiefs , have played it close to the vest since their back to back SB’s and have fallen short.

But doing it th the Rams way requires that you win a championship to make giving up your near future worth it. Gonna be interesting watching this unfold.

With 4 1-loss teams in the NFC I think we need all the help we can get. If the playoffs started today, we'd be the 5th seed (not good).

And yeah, I was thinking we're using the Lakers approach. We'll see if it pays off.

PS: Not NFL related, but damn our Trojans are shit this year. And with London out for the rest of the season, we're probably looking at 5-7 record. :wah:

Absolutely crushed about Derrick Henry. In a league that's so QB-happy these days of course the one genuinely superstar RB of the year has to go down. Goddamned Colts.

Wilson is on the road to recovery, with the pin out. Very happy at his efforts to get back in to the game. Not that I think Seattle has much playoff chances, especially in the NFC West.

I can't put a waiver claim on both RB, who should I take? Jeremy McNichols or Adrian Peterson?

Raiders' Henry Ruggs to be charged with DUI after his involvement in a serious car crash, killing one.

:(

He's likely lucky that he isn't being charged with more. Why can't these guys call a fucking cab?!

Not a good look for the Browns or Odell Beckham Junior when a parent is complaining about their kid not getting the ball.

While Beckham Jr. has struggled to put up numbers on the field, his father believes quarterback Baker Mayfield has been the culprit toward the decline in production. Odell Beckham Sr. posted a video on Instagram Monday highlighting Mayfield failing to find Beckham on certain routes and not targeting Beckham on plays, putting the Browns quarterback under the bus.

To be clear, it’s DUI resulting in the death of another person. Yeah, this is the end of his career and I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up behind bars for a long time.

DeSean Jackson's illustrious career with the Rams is over. Seems everyone is being classy about it.

It's tough to be the #4 receiver when the #1 receiver is open on every play, all the time.

Aaron Rodgers tests positive for COVID; out for Sunday's game @ Chiefs.

The instant ruling out means that he was unvaccinated - this is after he'd strongly implied otherwise when asked back in August.

That's crazy. And stupid.

With the top of the NFC so tight, one game can make the difference.
