NFL 2021 season - Belichick Strikes Back

]
I love being wrong like this. What a pleasant surprise. Raiders’ D plays another very good game. We’re still not getting sacks, but we are getting pressure, hurries, and most importantly, containing the run. Our tackling is light years better than it’s been in years. Finally have some steady corners, and Trayvon Mullen looking like a future Pro Bowler. So far, Gus Bradley living up to the (meager) hype.

Offense looked solid. O line a work in progress, but they got us some crucial late first downs on the ground without our No 1 running back. Derek Carr, who has been low key, great for a couple of years now, had that “can do” body language to and proved it by lighting up the Steelers’ D. I wanted the Raiders to draft Henry Ruggs ahead of C.D. and Jeudy,,, but he was starting to worry me. Not anymor

Happy but still no expectations.

In the hours since the Chicago Bears' 20-17 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, head coach Matt Nagy declined multiple times to clarify whether veteran Andy Dalton (left knee) would remain the team's starting quarterback if healthy.

However, five minutes after Nagy's Monday morning's news conference concluded, where Nagy cited "scheme" as the reason he could not divulge whether Dalton would remain the starting quarterback over rookie Justin Fields, the Bears sent a team official into the media room to announce that Dalton is, in fact, still the Bears' starting quarterback, health permitting.

The team official stated that Nagy misunderstood the question.

"If Andy is healthy, is he your starter?" Nagy was asked when pressed about the subject in the news conference.

Said Nagy: "That's something that I'm not going to get into with scheme."

This guy is seriously brain addled. No wonder he uses the same worthless plays from 2018, he can't think up any new ones.

Well, they worked against the Ben-gals.

From what I currently understand the Ben-gals have youngest and cheapest roster in the NFL, go figure.

No worries, they will fire the coaching staff instead of...

This was a graphic the Thursday night game put up. 15 teams had different 2021 opening day QBs than they did in 2020.

I am just so fucking embarrassed. How does a team get shut out in the modern NFL? Every rule is designed to allow offenses to do whatever they want.

 :wah:

The Dolphins/Jets games should be absolute barn-burners!

A slow, plodding offense that can’t run or pass, ran by a clearly overrated young QB in fear of his life on every play, who is then replaced by a bottom tier has been who shouldn’t be in the league.
Their longest reception was 18 yards. 18!
I would be surprised if they win another game.

But we got Jaylon Waddle!!! Says guy still angry they passed on Penei Sewell at number six.

Yeah I disagreed with you at the time. Still think one rookie, no matter his gifts, would not have fixed that line.

Not fixed it, but would’ve been a building block to protect the guy they invested a lot in the prior year.

I’m old school, believing you start building on the lines. Because if you don’t control the line of scrimmage, you’re going to have a tough time winning.

You aren't wrong, but there are ways to build the line other than draft picks. Of course, the 'Phins aren't spending money on linemen either...
