NFL 2018 Season

Well, there's a very good chance my Steelers are going to be 0-2-1 after tonight.

...and it's not because Leveon is not playng either.

There is no "D" left in the Steel City.

Dolphins move to 3-0, with the Patriots up next. I have a feeling they are fool's gold. Tannehill led the team with 26 rushing yards.

Josh Allen to start for the Bills verses the Chargers this weekend.

No receivers, no running game, no offensive line? No problem!

Playing the Chargers last year was when they should've figured out Nathan Peterman was a pumpkin.

Guess Josh Allen read my post! Playing very well considering the talent he has around him.

Someone will figure out Mahomes and the Chiefs, it is only a matter of time. Though I think even if people figure them out, they still have enough firepower to win the AFC.

We're at the point, where if we don't want QB's hit, they need to put flags on them. I think we're looking at an impossible task keeping defenders from falling on them.

Dolphins 3-0 and looking to take on a weak and wounded Patriots next week. Could they really run the table in the AFC East this year?
I certainly think its a possibility.

Having the 30th ranked pass defense could play directly into the Patriots wheelhouse next week.

What the hell happened to the Vikings today?

I'm starting to think Zimmer has a bit of the Gene Roddenberry syndrome. He started buying into the hype and figured he can spend the week planning for the Rams. And, you know, I can't help but wonder if the same thing happened in the NFCC because it thought Foles was no match for his defense.

They seem to do this about every year. They yak a game they should've easily won. Inevitably, it comes back on them. Last year, it was an early season loss to Detroit at home. That loss made the difference between the NFC championship game being in Philadelphia instead of Minnesota.

The Bills were also well-briefed about the Viking offense. The sacks were a blast from the past in the so-so offensive line. The Bills' Leslie Frazier (former Vike coach) got a game ball after the game. As Kirk once said, "They knew just where to hit us."

They'll recover. But the loss will be costly come playoff seeding time. Makes a victory against the Rams almost essential.

At least the Packers lost, too. One of the few times I actually rooted for the Washington team. As Kirk also once said, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend."

I thought that was Spock? :p

They definitely seemed to be looking towards the Rams. It was like they didn't study the Bills at all. I know it is harder to hone in on tendencies with a rookie QB who only has one start under his belt, but the offense seemed to have no clue what the Bills defense was going to do.

You are right, the game in LA now becomes a must win.

Checks online script. Yeah. It was Spock. However, as Kirk also once said, "Still, it's a hell of a quote." ;)

At least as I have observed it over the years, the Vikings have an odd way of playing down to an opponent, too. A columnist in the Minneapolis newspaper ripped the team for not being prepared for this game.

LA is a must win in LA. Then the Eagles are a must win in Philadelphia the very next week. They have the Saints in late October at home, and go to New England on December 2. They'll yak one game against the Bears, you can almost count on it. They also have the Jets coming up soon in NY, and who knows which Darnold will show up for that. They play the "are they for real?" Dolphins in MN later. This could easily be a 9 and 7 wild card team just because of the difficulty of the schedule.

I don't have a clue if we're for real or not? Being a life-long Dolphins fan, I'm still betting on "or not". At least until we get the run game and pass defense in order. Losing William Hayes to a torn ACL hurts.

Yeah. But their schedule is pretty favorable. The Cincy game will say something. Then it's pretty clear sailing until December (at least they are in GB in early November when it's likely to be tolerable weather) when there's NE in NE, the Vikes in MN, and the Jags at home.

And it’s official: Garoppolo is done for the year, having injured himself trying to stay inbounds unnecessarily.

Let the C.J. Beathard Era Begin!

I think we're in New England this weekend. They come to Miami in December.

You're right. Hope it doesn't snow in Miami in December. ;)

I think if they asked, the Rams could get permission to print and sell 2018 NFC West Division Champions t-shirts and such right about now.

Let’s not go nuts...

Talib and Peters are going to miss multiple games due to their injuries. Tough for a defense missing both starting CB’s

And I suppose this Thursday, the Vikings will at least be prepared, so -- .

The Rams don't have any former Vikings coaches on their staff, do they? Just askin'.

Yeah. But having Donald and Suh in the middle means that they don't have to over commit to stopping the run or rushing the passer. Pretty tough on most QB's when they have to play 5-on-7 in the secondary and still have to worry about getting pressured right up the middle.

If Donald or Suh got hurt, then I could see some potential issues.

Most wicked stiff arm I've ever seen.

^^ That vid is "unavailable" ... but that's one of the best plants I've ever seen :bolian:

Well, it appears the Steelers showed up to play last night. Very entertaining game, with the Steelers able to keep it on the ground late to win it.

Who needs Leveon?
