Honestly I kind of hope so. I have a warm spot in my heart for the Broncos. They have the potential to be a good team if they can figure out how to work together. So far, however, their efforts have been fairly mediocre. My Skins fall in that exact same category. Great potential, but largely dysfunctional.
A road loss to a non-conference opponent wouldn’t be the worst thing. I just have a bad feeling about this one.
I figured the Bears would benefit from the week off after bulldozing the Bucs, but they look flat on both sides of the ball today. It's like the whole team was replaced.
My thought was, the week off would let them come back to reality a little after scoring 48. They might have been better off with the momentum. ETA: 4 minutes into the 2nd half, a TD, an INT and another TD. They must have found the real Bears during halftime.
The Bears had the fumble at the 1, plus an INT in the end zone, plus another fumble on an otherwise good drive.
You might be on to something. All five of the top scoring offenses in NFL history either didn't make the Super Bowl or lost it. Yeah. Those Rams better stink it up a bit if they want a real chance at another Lombardi Trophy.
More being unable to take care of their business and having to rely on screwups of other teams to have any success at all.
I do have to tip my hat to Gase for gameplanning a way to keep Mack and Company off of Osweiler this week.
I'm not sure if it was only the gameplan. The Bears D look like they were out of gas, or disinterested from the first minute of the game. There were a few good plays, then a lot of big yards given up. They better come ready to play next week or the Patriots will put up 100.
Seems odd to be out of gas, coming off of a bye week. I guess we know that Bortles and Keenum have turned back into pumpkins.
Well... good enough I guess. The passing game disappeared today, but luckily Todd Gurley is a Full Grown Man. Stat of the day: Marcus Mariota was sacked 11 times, completed 10 passes. Wow.
Another terrible loss for the Colts. Every week the game basically lives or dies on Luck's arm because the running game and defense are non-existent. I dearly hope Nathan Peterman is still playing next Sunday because at least that would mean almost a guaranteed win for Indy. Patriots/Chiefs = hell of a game. Shame about the ending.
I'd like to thank the Bills for handing the Texans a win, the Texans certainly wouldn't have won without their help. It was a nice gesture, but unneeded as the Texans win today won't actually be useful for anything other than extending our pathetic head coach's career here. The Texans, and the AFC South, are back to their normal horrid selves.
No doubt, but they seemed to have none of the energy they had against Tampa. If it was intentional, it was more bad playcalling.
