NFL 2018 Season

Everyone is usually fired up for a Pats game, few teams have the 'roll over and take it' approach against the pats that they seem to show against other teams. That said, the Pats look like they're getting up to speed; they've shaken off the rust, gotten Edelman back which opens up the offense a TON and slots people back where they fit better, Gordon is fitting in nicely and hasn't been busted for pot yet, etc. Defense isn't looking great, but usually doing a serviceable job. All in all, about where they hoped to be this time of year.

Getting the KC win is huge, stops them from having a massive advantage in standings and tie-breakers later on. Pats would have had no chance at catching them if they lost the game, but this puts them right back in the hunt. Was a good game, and expect we may see this matchup again before the dust settles on the year.

I'm pretty sure he'll turn back into a pumpkin pretty quick.
It is the Dolphins.
Seriously though, I can't take another year where Tom Brady and the Patriots are the Super Bowl favorites.
If the Prez wants to fix the NFL, he could find a way to make Bellicheck the U.S. Ambassador to Equatorial Guinea or something.

He has had starting opportunities in both Denver and Houston, and flopped both places. Maybe Gase can make him serviceable, but I doubt it.

Don't worry. Brady and Belichick only have a couple of years left. Then the Patriots will do a sequel to the Victor Kiam years.

I often get tired of hearing about how great Aaron Rodgers is, but there's no denying that he proves it time and time again with games like that. Now the Packers go into a bye feeling good about themselves rather than their usual incredulity at not winning.

So Aaron Rodgers...he's pretty good!

I wonder if the Niners will be pissed off or broken next week?

Belichick would find a way to win. Equatorial Guinea would somehow show up and qualify for the Super Bowl anyway

Sadly true. Although he seems resistant to selling out for that last big push, so it's either a couple years out, or the Pats will be better set up for the post-Brady years because they didn't sell out at the end. Not saying anyone can replicate what Brady and Belichick have done, but they at least aren't starting with a bare cupboard. Hopefully Bill sticks around for a couple years after Brady so it's in phases instead of ripping off the bandaid, but we'll see. Following the GOAT (QB or coach) is a tough act...

Belichick without a QB is Buddy Ryan. Nice defensive coach, but he isn't going to do anything remarkable. And hitting the "I got a QB in the sixth-round and he turned into the GOAT" pick is about as likely as getting two winning Mega Millions/Powerball tickets.

And I honestly don't see a very full or even half-full cupboard in New England when Brady walks away. I think they have to tear it completely down, and Josh McDaniel's is the wrong coach for that kind of project.
