Oh, goody. This again. Maybe we can get a "Mary Sue" and "reverse racism" thrown in for a trifecta.
If the shoe fits...

Um... Loki?Only in Star Trek can you be a genocidal dictator and still be redeemed!
That's four female directors versus eleven male directors, with ten out of twenty-nine episodes having been directed between these four female directors. That means roughly two-thirds of episodes (65.5%) are still directed by male directors.
Um... Loki?
Add Doctor Who's The Master/Missy, Star Wars's Darth Vader (though he's an enforcer), various Cylons in Battlestar Galactica. It's not an uncommon trope.I suppose you could add Doctor Octopus to that list who for decades was a mass murdering supervillain but has since been reinvented as a hero called 'Superior Spider-Man' and now resides in a cloned body of Peter Parker.
That and saying they prefer female directors. What a ridiculous age we live in where saying that is acceptable.

Oops! That's embarrassing.Even less. Olatunde Osunsanmi is male.

Discovery does a limited number of episodes and a priority there is to get female and diverse directors, so there are fewer opportunities for people like me, which is a great thing.
If we don't stop them now, they'll start driving cars and becoming doctors! Most of the show's directors are male, but I guess a quarter-to-a-third of the directors being female is just too much for you, isn't it?
The horror! Last time I've heard, these hew-mons have started forcing their females to wear clothes! What has this world come to?If we don't stop them now, they'll start driving cars and becoming doctors!
I think the "prefers women directors" thing goes back to comments made by Robert Duncan McNeill, who'd approached DSC producers about directing.

Stamets - A white male who is brilliant and not evil. Or does he not count because he's gay?
Good on Robert Duncan McNeill for supporting the push for diversity, but it's not like they haven't been hiring white male directors. Looking at all the male directors so far, out of the twelve, ten to eleven of them are white men (the only one I couldn't confirm was David Barrett). So the ratio of white male directors to everyone else among Discovery's directors is 2 to 1.
I think Kpnuts is going to have to try harder on his whole "Diversity is bad" opinions.
Discovery casting white males as either idiots (Conolly) or evil (Lorca, Leland) is what’s sexist.
Stamets, Anderson, Spock and Sarek were neither idiots nor evil...
Though those who have an axe to grind would point out Spock and Sarek were aliens and not representative of white men.![]()
I’m not being sexist. Discovery casting white males as either idiots (Conolly) or evil (Lorca, Leland) is what’s sexist.
