Naah. It sounds pretty awesome in American Midwestern accents, too. Sure, it's blasphemy if the Doctor doesn't have some kind of British accent, but there's nothing wrong with the announcer saying the series title.
Now, if it was an American Southern accent....

The Union Jack is visible just under the eye stalk where the daleks name/desination usually is.
I love how they have camouflaged the lights on the dome too.
I'm very curious about this dalek and whether the paint job was dalek or army supplied.

Nothing wrong with a good WWII story. And having the Daleks secretly helping out our side is a nice twist. They could have gone the safe route, but having the Doctor chasing them around nazi germany really would have been creepy.
And not like the daleks haven't posed as good guys before ('Evil of the Daleks' wasn't it?).

Re, that blow up of the console, I have to say liking it a lot more now, I think the gramaphone just overawed everything in the smaller shot we'd seen. Frankly now it's only the gramaphone trumpet I have issue with!

I just noticed - in the Stonehenge scene - that the new sonci screwdriver glows *green*.
(I still wonder now how River Song's "future" sonic screwdriver fits into all of this...? But heck, maybe 10 regenerated sooner than he "should" have for some reason, and now time has changed and he never married River Song in this new timeline...?)

Note the curling thing wrapped around the central column of the time rotor. It is almost identical in both photos. Also the contest winner doesn't have a gramophone but it does have a "rusty old radio to pick up soundwaves from aliens".
When I first saw the console room in the trailer I thought it might be a bit small for a main set so this could be a secondary console room based on the winner's entry.
I didn't think they would spoil the big reveal of the new interior by putting it in the trailer.
Time will tell.
