NEW trailer!

The article says it was filmed in block 7 - from the finale (or another later episode) perhaps?

Yeah, I thought the Blue Peter console was going to be in the one with James Cordon and the football. So as to get all the rubbish over with in one episode.

Now that I think about it yeah having the blue peter console in the James Corden episode would make sense.

He then gathers a bunch of junk like a tea dispenser to make a makeshift console.

For the first episode we're not suppose to see the new console room till Eleven enters it too.

Re: NEW trailer!ddd

Any chance at all that this could just be that alternate fan-designed console from the contest winner???

*crosses fingers*

Well with River there that implies the capture is around episode 4 and 5.

Surely by then the real TARDIS console will be in use.

I could see the blue peter console in the first episode before settling on the new default console.

I thought that the Blue Peter console was going to be used much later in Series 5, not in the first episode or two.

All this doesn't mean that the console room seen on the trailer is the real console room.

Didn't they say that the TARDIS was going to be slowly rebuilding itself throughout the season or something? This might just be an intermediate version of the final console.

I just noticed - in the Stonehenge scene - that the new sonci screwdriver glows *green*.

(I still wonder now how River Song's "future" sonic screwdriver fits into all of this...? But heck, maybe 10 regenerated sooner than he "should" have for some reason, and now time has changed and he never married River Song in this new timeline...?)

Well, as Rivers was highly modified, or dare i say repaired, im guessing that as the Doctor is seen symbolically destroying everything RTD has set down the past five years including the sonic, its gonna be the one in the first ep where we see him destroying it.

Just a guess, but it will make sense. Besides, hes also got to build into it a hard drive kinda thing to store Rivers "soul" onto the library memory in the past of his current linnear timeline and give it to her younger self, so he can save her in his past when she meets the previous Doctor at a later stage in her life.:wtf::confused:

Hopefully. Given the trailer scene, and the capture i uploaded, it looks as if its Elevens first glimpse of the console room, and incedentally, ours.

I also doubt though that the console shot is what were going to get. The new interior is the most anticipated moment since the reveal of Ecclestons back in 2005 and of the return to regular shedules, so i doubt that they would put it slap bang in the middle of the trailer for us all to see.

But then, how do we know its River at the helm??

I hanvt read the reviews as i want to remain as spoiler free as poss, so it is all mearly guess work. ;)

I just wish my cable provider offered BBC America in HD. :(

Don't feel too bad--my cable provider doesn't offer BBC America at all. :scream:

Just out of curiosity, was it a similar case with Sci-Fi/Syfy? That some cable providers didn't carry it? Here in Canada, my understanding is Space (the broadcaster that picked DW up), while a cable network that you have to pay extra for, is still pretty universally available among the different cable companies, but I might be wrong. (SJA fans up here do have a similar problem -- although the Canadian version of BBC Kids was showing Season 2 earlier this year, last summer a major national cable provider dropped the network.)

One consolation, though, for those who can't get BBCA (or Space) is that all the signs are pointing to a pretty quick turnaround for the DVD/Blu-Ray release after the season wraps up, if they stick to the pattern established with Children of Earth (which was out within a week or so). No guarantees, of course -- there's still a one-year wait for Sarah Jane on DVD, even in the UK.
