New Star Trek Prodigy PC and Console Game

Got to play Supernova for the first time today, for about 40 minutes. It is fun, though a bit repetitive. But that is par for the course for most video games.

The PC version just went into the Steam sale, 40% off.

I picked it up with this sale, just played it a bit with my nephew (he loves Prodigy, and it got him to like Star Trek). As noted above, it's very much intended for kids, but it's pretty good so far. Local co-op is pretty fun, as long as you have a controller to plug in via usb. It's very clearly a port of a console game, with the standard WASD and camera oddities, but other than that is pretty fun.

The opening "cinematic" was a voiced-over comic, which was weird. It felt like they storyboarded a movie and then weren't able to actually put the animation in, so just put the storyboard in instead. But that's my only real issue with it so far.

It’s great to see games for the PC again. I’ll buy it. Can’t be as bad as Starship Creator. ;)

Starship Creator is amazing!

can confirm. played it today several times.
the dust-buster ball shooter is kind of cool, otherwise as pinball goes, it sucks.
I take back everything I said about the old 1993 game. I played a completely refurbished one and its excellent. It probably just depends on what shape their in, condition of the launcher, etc.
