How do they come up with these? Like how do they decided "THIS IS WHAT WE'RE GOING TO RELEASE AS MERCH!"?

Usually, some manufacturer comes up with an idea and 'pitches' it, in an attempt to get the product licensed; OR CBS marketing thinks: "Hey <X> would probably be sellable..." and they go in search of a manufacturer to produce it, and hammer out an agreement that profits both parties.

Haha sorry I haven't said, I used to work quite a bit in brand licensing, so I know this stuff. I meant more how did they decide these particular items. They're pretty crap.
