They did do a cutaway of the DSC Ent bridge for one of their new books.There doesn't appear to be anybody in DISCOVERY's production crew that has any interest in that kind of thing.
Unlike Drexler and his ilk.
All the booklets from the Eaglemoss Discovery ships only include previously done production drawings, along with a shot or two of the CGI models included.
Even they haven't put any extra time into adding exclusive newly created artwork.

Nope. But when it seems like "we're just gonna ignore how the insides of starships have been portrayed before and create this totally nonsensical representation of the inside of the ship", it's kinda like that to some of us.

I think it is more they don't care. A "fuck you" would mean they are thinking about fans, which I don't get any indication that they do.
Both options are troubling.
Star Trek is a brand to be exploited by its corporate parent. No need to be troubled. This is the current version, its own version of the universe. Regardless of what TPTB say, they are going to do their own thing.
We should enjoy it or not for what it is, not what they profess it to be.
Neither "option" would be profitable in any sense of the term and therefore is most likely not true in any case.
Profit, is the name of the game and I highly doubt CBS would be inclined to allow the folks on their payroll to engage in such detrimental behavior.

Finally saw Q&A earlier.
Spocks behaviour seemed absolutely fine to me and well within the parameters of his established character, he is a young ensign and doesnt have the emotional control that his future self will one day have.
I barely noticed his presence though due to Rebecca Romijn being there who is fine indeed, the Starfleet uniform she was wearing is just gravy as far as I am concerned.
Is it just me or did it get a bit flirty between the two characters, I would totally have gotten a slap if I had been in Spocks place.
Worth it though.
Imagine if they had built a show around her as Number 1 on the Enterprise, her character came through better in that Short Trek than Burnham did after two whole seasons, I will stress that I consider it to be a material/script issue and not the fault of Sonequa at all.
I do wonder at some of the choices made by CBS in regards to Star Trek, there are ideal candidates to build a show around like Number 1 who we know next to nothing about yet instead they think they are better off making up a long lost sister of Spocks out of thin air.
Every time they do something right like the Q&A Short Trek it just serves to highlight what they have done wrong in Discovery itself, perhaps that is due to having a better more capable team of writers now.

They felt the need to go super-serious, words-of-great portent, Klingons-with-marbles-in-their-mouths, Burnham always crying-earnest-serious. Except for the annoying Tilly.
That was the direction: super-serious epic. Based around a dull sister conjured outta thin air. I think it would have been MUCH better focused on Georgieau w/ Burnham a supporting player. Have the Shenz go around having adventures and doing good. I would've enjoyed that instead of enduring it.

It honestly hasnt felt epic to me at all so far, even with the constant threat to the Federation/Alpha Quadrant/Future.
They should have spent S1 fleshing all the characters out on the Shenzou and/or the Discovery, it feels like they took an idea for a Star Trek straight to TV film and stretched it out until it was so thin you could see right through it.
Mount may want to do a series but CBS is probably being tight with the cash, especially as Mount now knows he is a hit with many of the fans, he may just be playing hard to get, plus they would need to get Peck and Romijn on board as well for it to work, seems a waste not to do it when many of the sets are already built.
A series does require a big time commitment and he may have other irons in the fire but they could easily share the workload between the three top cast members, it made Shatner and Nimoy big stars but it also typecast them which really limited what was offered to them for decades after and Mount may want to keep his options more open.
That being said its a regular paycheck and sooner or later money talks and bullshit walks.
One of the big flaws with Season 1 is they wanted to tell a big epic story, but they were obviously constrained for cash after the first two episodes, meaning they seldom left the ship, tended to have the same redressed sets used constantly to save money, and had a very small recurring cast. So all the Klingon drama - for example - basically just boiled down to T'Kuvma, Kol, Voq, and L'Rell - with no one else surpassing the level of extra.
I think Season 2 kinda avoided this in the first half, as it was smaller-scale stories exploring out in the unknown with more away missions, leading to more of an "open world" feel. But it came crashing down at the end of the season with their desire to somehow tie everything which happened in the series together in a neat little bow.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think I read somewhere that Anson Mount doesn't want to do a regular series because he doesn't want to have to spend that much time away from his family.
Yep. I don't think money has much to do with it, or at least in this instance, it isn't the overall deciding factor.
The above said, given how CBSAA works, it's not really the same as a regular 22 to 24 episode network series, since they shoot only 10 - 13 episodes a season, but I also hear he likes to shoot outside stuff and doesn't like indoor sets, and that too is what a lot of Star Trek is these days.

Yeah its possible but it could also just be another bargaining tactic to increase his pay.
Ultimately actors want a regular paycheck its just a question of terms and workload.
Alternatively he could give up the focus in favor of Number 1 and Spock which would further reduce his workload assuming Rebecca and Ethan are interested, I can see Ethan going for it but not so sure about Rebecca.
The option of having Pike/Enterprise as a recurring character is gone now that Discovery has jumped forward.
If the Pike/Enterprise show was to go ahead it could only be 10-12 episodes a year which wouldnt be too bad especially considering many of the cable shows are 20+ episodes a year, 10-12 tightly written standalone episodes could work nicely without affecting work/life balance too much.
It really depends on how Picard performs and the S31 show that is supposed to be coming after it, if they want a Star Trek live action show all year round they will need 3-4 shows depending on season length, plus I am suspicious over how quiet the S31 show has gone, originally it was announced before the Picard show yet that will be shown first.
Perhaps plans have changed somewhat, could they have decided to just keep Yeoh on the Discovery in the hopes that her continued presence will help the show earn a 4th season, otherwise they will have to find a way to send her back.
Anything could be happening behind the scenes.
I have no doubt that priorities changed in this regard because:
1) Picard IS a popular character.
2) Patrick Stewart is 79 - soon to be 80 years old, so yeah, I'd think they'd prioritize getting anything he's willing to do before something happens.
I don't think teh Section 31 show is dead though because back on Sept. 9, 2019 when they relaunched the Startrek,com site, Alec Kurtzman post a message that included:

So again, I kind of doubt they'd be directly mentioning Michelle Yeoh like that if the series wasn't on the plate so to speak. That said, time will tell; but I would be surprised if we hear anything further on the "Section 3" series until AFTER "Star Trek Picard" has premiered, and streamed a few episodes. ST: P has the promotional and marketing priority as it is the "Next big thing in Star Trek" and I'm sure CBSAA wants to milk it for all its worth (witch is 100% understandable).

I am aware that the S31 show wont start until after Discovery S3 and the show runners have said so.
I just get the feeling that it was not always the plan to delay it so long, perhaps the MU Georgiou going with them to the future was not always the plan, now they have to wait for her to come back before they can move forward with the show.
Its also possible that they just decided to prioritise Picard for the reasons already stated.
I do smell a potential course correction though.
