Oddly I never heard of the first movie in 2019 so not sure if that even came to theatres here but this has me wanting to go see it because of the cast, and Sarah Michelle Gellar as a bad guy yes please

This film is currently in theaters. The first film had a budget of $6 million and made $57 million at the box office. The second film was released on the same day as Project Hail Mary. With a budget of $14 million, it has so far earned $32 million. The first film seems likely to finish with a similar box office total.

Depending on your country, the first film may be available on Hulu or Disney+, as it was produced by Disney-owned Searchlight Pictures. Of course, if you have a Netflix or Amazon Prime subscription, and the licensing is available in your country, you can also watch it there or rent/purchase it.

I've ordered a physical copy of the first film via Amazon. I'm going to find which theatres here are playing the 2nd movie to go see in the next week or two
