it looks ok, they have changed the font of the title, gone is the Ambassador class star ship in the middle.
to be fair, gone was the Ambassador Class Excalibur half a decade ago...

Has there been any word on if the will eventually release a smaller version to line up with all the previous releases of the series? The hardbacks always got re-released as smaller MMPB's...

MMPBs are usually $8 now, and amazon has Treason discounted to $10.88 (at least in the US). I suppose I can understand wanting it to look pretty on the shelf, or if you prefer the smaller size for convenience, but the cost issue seems pretty minor.
how well does NF usually sell? I'm guessing quite well as the last few books have been hardcover...MMPBs are usually $8 now, and amazon has Treason discounted to $10.88 (at least in the US). The cost difference is not a problem. It's just the "look". I know it's a minor detail. If the future books will also be printed in this format, then I guess it doesn't matter. Re-branding may make this series an even stronger seller![]()
^I don't have exact numbers, but from what i've heard, the series sells quite well. At least it did when it first came out in 1997, and for several years afterward.
Does anyone have sales figures for this series? How about sales figures for any of the books. Now i'm curious how well Trek-lit sells in general...

Pocket doesn't give out sales numbers to the public.
I don't think they're allowed to for legal reasons. I don't know what they are but I remember somebody saying something about it when this was brought up in the past.
I'm really excited about this book. Reading a new 'New Frontier' book is like catching up with old friends. And I've been missing these guys.![]()
Agreed! We haven't had a book since 2006? 2007?...it's about time![]()

The "New Frontier" storyline was continued by both of PAD's "Mirror Universe" stories (2007, 2009) and the IDW comic mini-series, "Turnabout" (2008).
Wasn't Turnabout it's own thing? Weren't there some inconsistencies (like Jellico's rank pips) that PAD explained away as the comic being its own thing?
"Turnabout" made crucial use of the events and characters ofi the first NF "Mirror Universe" storyline, and continued the story arcs of many characters, especially Robin Lefler, Mark McHenry, Soleta and Morgan Primus. I expect these to be followed up in "Treason".I haven't read the mirror universe stuff yet. Does it work as the next story after Missing in Action? I thought that the mirror stuff only happened in the actual mirror universe and didn't affect the "regular" universe...
