Netfllix is streaming Voyager

All seven seasons of Voyager are now available to watch on Netflix streaming. Not having seen a large chunk of the show (pretty much from the end of the third season onwards) I was wondering if anybody have favorite or outstanding episodes of Voyager they can recommend for viewing?

I'm sort of in the same boat. I started watching Voyager on Netflix a few weeks ago. But I don't remember much about specific episodes.
re-watching the first couple of seasons, it has reminded me of how much I liked these early episodes.

I originally stopped watching Voyager when Kes left. Never cared for their take on the Borg. The writers should have created a new major threat for them to deal with.

Just saw the episode "Relativity" for the first time, where Seven has been recruited by a future Fed ship to help save Voyager. Fun episode. Seven looks really cute in a fed uniform; just wish she wore that all the time, instead of her dopey catsuit.

Yes, she really did, didn't she? I was using a picture of Seven in the Fed uniform as my avatar here for a bit. I found it on the net somewhere, without knowing what episode it was from.

That picture was what made me decide to start watching some of the Voyager eps that I missed--which was mainly everything after season three.

I actually though Jeri looked a lot more sexier when she wasn't in the catsuit, like when her hair was down in The Killing Game or Relativity in the SF uniform. They were wanting more sex appeal when they brought Ryan on, but they might have made it way too obvious and over the top.

I watched on and off for awhile. Then tuned out the last couple of years for some reason. After so many Star Trek shows, I think I took Voyager for granted (like a lot of people). I remember the show became focused more on Seven and the Borg.
It's kind of unfair but I think all of the shows after TNG were tainted with similar expectations. The Star Trek universe was crowded with Cardassians, Klingons, Bajorans, Borg.... all the same old Star Trek aliens. And similar characters in the same uniforms. Even if the writing was good it was hard to see past all the similarities.
Now as I watch the early episodes of Voyager, I'm really amazed at how much the characters were more adventurous, grumpy, funny, and all around more interesting people.

What I loved about Voyager was the humor. It really was funny. I think that is what I miss in the novels--that quirky way they have of teasing each other and laughing at themselves. It reminded me of a family or of very close friends (like my recent get-together with my college buddies).

T: Yes.
J: I suppose I should ask why you weren't dressed to begin with.
T: I would prefer if you didn't.

I think My fiance and I lost about 45 seconds of the dialogue following. We could barely breathe!

Part of the reason I enjoyed the first three seasons of Voyager was because of the presence of Kes, a kind, gentle character whom I thought added a lot to the warm family dynamic.

I feel that warm family feeling get torn apart when Seven joined the show. Don't get me wrong; I don't hate Seven, far from it. Jeri Ryan's a superb actress, despite the dopey catsuits she was forced to wear. But the series lost something when she came on.

I guess these problems really stem from a desire of the Voyager 'powers that be' to try and make the show more popular by bringing on a catsuit-wearing "sexy" co-star, and it looks to me llike they wound up alienating a large group of their core fans in the process.

It only makes sense for them to bound together, since they're all stuck together in the Delta Quad. But I get what you're saying. I've noticed that the relationships on Voyager are much more relaxed than, say Deep Space Nine, or even The Next Generation.

I've been catching up on my Voyager ever since it came to Netflix. I've heard of some people having streaming issues but I've had nothing but good experiences.
