NCIS/NCIS:LA finales

There haven't been threads in a while (unless I'm blind) so I figure I'd just ask if anyone is still watching?

The only thing that really stood out to me is that they did the JAG thing of killing off a loose end character that they wrote off the franchise earlier. It just makes me wonder if they killed off Blackadder (the girl from the NCIS backdoor pilot) as well?

It also seems like they're trying to tie together the two shows somewhat... with Vance mentioning LA a couple of times in the mothership finale (along with the death of the NCIS agent of course), but it seems strange given the events in LA (all of NCIS being compromised) everyone on the mothership show was worried about Gibbs doing his thing.

Oh well. Until next year. :)

Hrm, fair enough. I'm still chugging along with the show but there's not really much to say except for what they do with the finales.

I will say though, I did like the LA resolution to the Dom kidnapping arc.

I gave up on LA like 8-9 episodes in. Half the time there's no reason for them to even be undercover. They investigate just like the original NCIS, only they lie about who they are when they do it. That's not really undercover work.

NCIS never has any big follow through with their finales. Everything is back to normal by the end of the first episode of the following season. Gibbs' father won't die. And obviously Gibbs won't lose his job.

Oh yeah, the LA concept is entirely contrived and makes absolutely no sense... but at least the season arc is somewhat interesting.

And you never know I guess... I have no idea how long they're going to drag the show, but if they're on S8 they may be heading towards a real ending on NCIS.

Me and my wife watched the finale last night finally. We work a lot so we have to catch up on our episodes usually on the weekend. She was never into the show when we met (Sometime around the mid to end of season 5) but now she is hooked.

For a moment as we were nearing the end of "Rule 51" when Gibbs and Vance are hashing it out I commented "Holy crap are they writing Gibbs off the show?!" we looked at each other for a moment and then said nawww...and felt exactly what you wrote. ^^

As for season 8? Meh we'll see...
