NCIS franchise

it wasn't the finale.

New eps start this week with 3 or so to go for the season.

Both IMDB and Wiki list it as an 8 Episode Season 1.

We had this discussion a few weeks ago, some of us seem to be watching on Paramount Plus where we've already had the Finale, but domestic transmission in America stopped at Doggiecino Day Afternoon and will resume soon.

In the US, Paramount+ has the dog episode as the last one as well.

Hope it gets a full sized season 2
I doubt any future seasons of Sydney will have twenty+ episodes that the others have. It is an Australian production after all, and IIRC Australian shows are done on a similar model as British shows, where they've always favored shorter seasons.

so watching the ep where Evie takes on the drug gang, that has to be dodgiest explosion in 20years+ of NCIS :)

Though given the filming location they couldn't blow the place sky high but still very cut prices effects.

Then you have Mackey talking to Cooper the end, should have said she's following a long standing NCIS traddition by hiding evidence and going lone wolf and will go far :)

Yeah, that was a laughably bad explosion. But to the show's credit, I think they knew they were going to have a lousy explosion effect and leaned into it, particularly with everyone's freeze-framed action poses as the explosion went off.

But, it's all cool. If cheap explosion effects were a problem for me, there's lots of other shows I'd have bailed on long before now.

Any of you watching this on an AppleTV having problems with the sound in the latest episode? (the bunker one) I get no sound at all on the ATV, but I did get sound watching it on the computer. All other episodes have sound, just not this one.

And that was one damn strange cliffhanger...

not only was I NOT expecting one of the 'sleeper' spies to turn up again, what exactly the hell was she doing with that contact lens?

Oh and I agree about the explosion. They totally did that on purpose.

And....HONEY on pizza? That's worse than pineapple! :barf:

Thought it was kinda weird that Evie tried to hand over her badge. Mackey could fire her from NCIS, but not from the AFP.

Hot honey. There's a local Detroit pizza place near me that does exactly that type of thing, for those wanting a kick. I haven't felt daring enough yet.
Sounds like fun to me. Always like Pizza with a little bit of kick. Pepperoni, sausage and ham, with honey and pineapple.

Sounds good.

The writers are previewing what's going on in season 21 of NCIS. In addition to what we already know regarding resolving the cliffhanger season 20 ended on and having a Ducky tribute episode, we can also expect
a quirky comedy about the team switching places with people from NCIS's "less glamorous" side such as accounting and maintenance. An episode where Knight's dad drops by for a visit. Parker going undercover as a surgeon. And on April 15 we'll be getting the thousandth episode of the NCIS franchise that promises to "embrace the entire universe" with one of the "most beloved characters" being in grave danger.

Regarding the thousandth episode, it's clear they just mean the NCIS shows specifically. If you include JAG the franchise is already well over a thousand episodes.

Well who didn't see THAT coming.

Rankin is dirty.

World's most telegraphed plot twist. I knew it from his very first appearance!

Blue gets more and more hilarious every time she appears. I love that bit where she accidentally calls Mackey "mum" instead of "ma'am". :guffaw:

And I tear up every time Rosie mentions his wife. I lost a parent to dementia. I totally get what he's going through. :(

What really got me with the Sydney finale was how did JD's wife not see the massive red flag that clown was? Or are clowns just expected to be creepy AF these days?

Also, I caught a very subtle Easter egg in the episode. When the FBI team shows up to pick up the Irish mercenary, the lead agent hands a letter to Mackey to make the matter official. That letter is signed by Deputy Director Sweeney, Parker's nemesis on OG NCIS.
